The ratings overall were not too bad, but that one really did sucker punch me. Both STR Carnival Goku versions were great. Even though the English one was really good, the JP one still could have been better in my opinion

This right here, in my personal opinion i like the dub i grow up with (brazilian dub) but i like jp and sometimes the english dub

Its mostly because the dubs are usually worse than the subs. But in other cases some sub enjoyers get a huge ego boost for liking the sub over dub even when the dub isnt bad. They get mad that you wont appreicate the jp actors by enjoying the dub but wont acknowledge that theyre doing the same thing to the dub because the sub is "better". Theres nothing wrong with comparing sub vs dub, its falls apart when one side wants to spread their superiority.

But from what I seen the sub enjoyers tend to make fun of dub enjoyers for preferring their own language to an foreign one, and they are mostly the ones to call out the dub fans when the conversation doesn't even relate to them. Maybe its just me but i genuinely don’t understand how english speaking people can unironically listen to JP, and even worse is that they disrespect ENG even in cases where the dub is so much better, in MY PERSONAL OPINION, Dub is better in most cases for me, especially for goku, gohan or goten because they actually very different from each other, plus i really hate goku’s high pitched voice in JP but that’s just me (also this video is so biased its disgusting)

If there's one thing you should understand with some Dragon Ball fans, they will only give English credit when the actors are screaming their lungs out they have to be actively putting their vocal cords at risk to be seen as good, no exceptions, that's what people who swear by the Sub are like, (Not that all of the English dubbed Dokkan actives are the best, but people shit on them an excessive amount)
