I think I have 5 or 6 meters with inrush current measurement. Some are AC only though along with some protection relays I have, that have disturbance analysers built in. Not sure how they would respond to measuring DC inrush. It would take a little bit of setting up with the SMRT but should be possible. Something else to add to the list.

@@three-phase562 The only item I got with inrush current ability is the HT208D clamp meter. It's the same as your Kaiweets HT208D, this Habotest HT208D is just a cheaper 40 dollar revision without the silicone probes but otherwise identical. Been testing it with a few DC spotwelders but I lack the reference tools to put the accuracy into perspective. It does look linear and the values are consistent even from a few ms. Most clamp meter seems only spec'ed for AC..as far as I can tell it is the more expensive models like fx Fluke 345 that also mention DC tolerances on is inrush feature, so curious how well AC labeled inrush meters work on DC current spikes. Been looking on YT for vids handling this inrush aspect, but sofar no dice.

@@JAKOB1977 If it is an RMS clamp, then it should pick up a DC current that is rising. Once settled it will rely on the hall effect sensor to measure DC current. For DC a good oscilloscope could be used to act as a comparison.
