Badass build a figure I like how Todd is not that lazy and putting a lot of passion in toy making unlike hasbro ( they always reuse body mold and paint..)

There was a recent interview with Todd were he says that his target audience for DC toys are young boys and moms. His priority is choosing cool looking characters like Ghost Maker, Frost King, etc. because they appeal more to kids and also moms who are looking for a cool looking toy for their son. That’s also why he rarely makes female characters because he says they don’t sell that well since boys aren’t into them, probably same goes for villains.

He needs to know that he would make a absolute bag if he made figures for big barda, hawkgirl, powergirl, starfire, raven, Zatanna and so much more. There is so much woman characters that could be made and roll in so much for Todd eventually

Sometimes I think his attitudes about what does/doesn’t sell end up being self fulfilling prophecies. The female figures will sell if he makes characters everyone wants. Civilian figures will sell if he makes the characters we want.

Interesting but it makes sense from a marketing perspective. As a kid I was hardly interested in female characters with the selection available and you can "only have one" so you gotta get what you really want!!! Now as an adult collector I definitely enjoy good female characters I have nostalgia for and never had as kid.

Never going to understand DC's immense disdain for Mr. Freeze. I'd have KILLED to have seen a comic called ENDLESS WINTER being a Mr. Freeze book....and not that of a character never seen before EVER.

Finally finished this guy and if I’m being honest he’s one of my favorite collect to build figures in this line so far! He’s no Mr. Freeze though, lol.

Mcfarlane does fantastic work for the DC.. The scuplt and paint apps are unmatched.. My only gripe is tht Mcfarlane should incorporate biceps cuts for his Bafs and mega figs.

I really didn't have any problems with Bane after watching your video. It was definitely about the approach. (And a lil Kiki) He's one of my favorite figures ever. Frost King looks great next to him.

Something I thought was odd was that they didn't give us the shoulder cup it goes into the shoulder piece for the arm and I really wish they would have given some bicep swivel for him

All I found was the torso , but it’s so cool… the amount of details is extreme….so i repainted it…. Can’t wait to find the rest….I may just get loose parts off eBay. I didn’t really care for the rest and I have no more space

Yeah, frost king is a pain to assemble. Black Adam's torso is a recolor to a certain Shazam figure. Batman lacks articulation, so the figures might not be worth it.

It's beyond frustrating how the back of stuff is not painted. The back of the boots aren't painted. This is a baf. It's supposed to be the stand out of the wave. He's the prize of buying all the shitty figures of the wave. And to not painted the back of stuff all over the figure is just sad. This essentially costs 80 bucks and the painting is just not even present. It's so half assed.
