I honestly don't know much about different company history's, but in this current marketplace Mcfarlane is doing something nobody else is doing...listening to the customers. Statue articulation sucked, now its 22+ moving parts(Color Tops vs Multiverse) We wanted alt hands, now we getting alt hands(Blue Beetle movie) We wanted alt heads, now we getting alt heads(Digital Wave) Sold out products, Okay here's a slightly different paint but you can at least get it (Batmobile) MEZCO cant figure out inventory (How the F can you sell out a product pre-production?????) HASBRO is deaf

Absolutely agree with your side of the arguments. Dc essentials is too mechanical. Mcfartlane has it overall over the past renditions because the figures give a better sense of realism. Not just goofy toybiz toys. 😂❤

Great comparison video, Bones! Just FYI, the extra detail lines on the gloves of the DC Essentials Knightfall Batman are there because they were originally used for the Rebirth Batman. I have most of the DC Essentials figures, and I do like them, but it was a very “cookie cutter” line, and really can’t begin to compete with McFarlane…especially when Todd is at or near the top of his game as he was with the Knightfall Batman.

My Cheetahs 🐆 tail broke. Ferocious yet fragile. I think the Cheetah from the Essentials line was the best female figure. Articulation on her is good especially her head and hair articulation. However I’ll take McFarlanes treatment. I have the WW and enjoy them both. But I’m bias. Spank!

I remember that knight fall Batman by DC Essentials . It was pretty good. But I sold him off long ago. 😅

I love the DC Direct/collectible/icon line I still have all the collections but for Mcfarlane I only collected Superman and Superman Villains

You can easily get a little more height out of this mcfarlane bats. I heated mine up and pulled apart the torso and put a little plastic disc in the top ball joint then put it back together. It added about 1/16 of an inch maybe a hair more of height to bats. Now he's in proportion with Wonder Woman. Works for just about any mcfarlane figure.

The icons is the best one, only problem is he's a little fella, if only mcfarlane was available. Nice comparison. I do have the mcfarlane bane crushing batman icons pose😊.

The bad thing about the mcfarlane line is there are figures taller than Knightfall Batman like Firestorm Hawkman is tall too but I expect him to be taller than Batman Knightfall Nightwing his head is bigger than Batman Batman taller than Superman Knightfall Catwoman has a bulge on her bigger than Batman So his line is far from perfect he still has lots of work to do

I don’t like there diaphragm cut of essentials but I like thigh and boot cut. I don’t mind it breaking the sculpt.

I'm such a throwback that I HAD to paint batman's mask black on the faceplate. I still recall when Catwoman captured them and unmasked him, Batgirl, and Robin, and they all had their faces painted black where the masks usually covered them.

In my opinion: Size and proportions - Multiverse; Details - Tie; Color Scheme - Essencials; Articulations - Multiverse; Accessories - clearly Multiverse. Multiverse wins 4:2

The arms on those figures are ridiculously long. I gave most of the ones i owned away. All i have left is zombie Batman and Hal. Ive never even bothered to open them.

Hey i know this dont have anything to do with video but did u go thru alot of trial n error when u first started customizing? Or did u pick it up fast? I want start customizing a few of mine (like knight batman's armor irks me) but im leary to start.

Is DC essentials perfect? Not really most of the QC issues are due to the clear plastic dc direct used to make their figs and they did have long limbs they were brittle but What made this line great was the fact they kept the line very comic booky, the amazing capes, heads designed by fabok and they all had an aesthetic consistency in paint and obviously due to standard toy reuse tactics THINGS that mcfarlane fails at aswell and share the same issues your criticizing on essentials like long or short whacky limbs, unnecessary textures on every release like come one he hasn’t made a consistent GL corp and we all know how a GL corp should look like, 90% of the figures have like you said NADA no alt hands no accessories no nothing, most of the figures if not all are innacurate, most do suffer from the diaper syndrome, barely articulate and mcfarlane last two years has been reusing nonestop and it hasn’t been smart reuse and until this date they have whole lot of problems. You bring up some good points on these reviews but you always end up looking like a fanboy and creaming over mcfarlane about what you criticize on other line like tf??😂 mcfarlane is everyone cheapest dc kick thats decent half of the time. This mcfarlane knightfall batman is indeed a highlight and a gold standard of what todd can do but sadly this isn’t the norm and that puts todd products down so making a comparison with one of todds one hit wonder is not real way to make a line comparison like you ended up doing comes off very fanboy ish and projecting

Ya that’s fine and all but at time of their release that’s all we had there was no Mcfarlane dc around so I was happy at that time 🫡🫡🫡🫡
