As someone who loved the New 52 (aside from Red Hood and the Outlaws, Teen Titans etc), Rebirth is probably one of the most impressive and awesome things DC has done. A lot of the titles are excellent, especially Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman and Deathstroke

I recommend superman,action comics,titans,detective comics,red hood and the outlaws,nightwing,all star batman and teen titans. All of them are great titles and surprisingly the only title that isn't great IMO is justice league.

Feels crazy being around when Rebirth is going on. Like one day when I have kids I'll tell them I was there, when some of the best comics were being made. Then they will call me a nerd and put me in a home.

@FoxRNG Dude I like both Marvel and DC ...BUT I love DC more due the animated series and movies. Also the New 52 and Rebirth have been a blast. Trinity is still one of my favourite comics so far. Also The Batman who laughs...DC basically wins in everything else

Thank you sir! Your explanation of how the new 52 and rebirth fit together was antazmic! You should do another mini doc - on the "why" DC is going down this path and where they hope to take. And maybe include how they plan to fit that w/ the cinematic universe. I'd dig that a lot.

I think you missed one huge tease from detective comics, where when Tim Drake was "killed" and taken to be a prisoner, its heavily implied that Manhattan isn't the big-bad we thought he was, but rather Manhattan himself is imprisoned much like Tim Drake.

Also recently in Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern corps, White Lantern Kyle Rayner tried to resurrect the Blue Lantern Corps but failed. Ganthet noted that someone very powerful was preventing him, it drained Kyle of his White Lantern energy completely and forced him to take up the mantle of Green Lantern again. This seemed like yet another reference to Dr. Manhattan in DC Rebirth

I get both Superman and Superman Action Comics. These titles are so great. Also Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corp drops a Easter egg when the Blue Lantern try to do something with Kyle Raynor and something happens to to Kyle and you see "Mr Oz" in the background. Great reads really great reads.

Ethan Small from how they've explained it, Wally is part of the new 52 universe. But he was in the speed force when flashpoint happened, so he knows what's wrong with the universe. The only character that didn't originate from this universe is pre-flashpoint superman

Barett Brandt That's almost exactly what happened at the start of Rebirth. The Superman of n52 sacrificed himself (Still miss him, pls come back some day), and made way for the pre n52 Superman to take up the mantel, aswell as two new Superwomen and a Superboy.

you won't be able to keep up. I want to get into reading comics but there are way to many tie-in issues with other titles and just too much going on. I so badly want to read the whole Blackest Night saga

Jonanator Do not start with rebirth if you're just starting reading comics. I know it might seem logical but it doesn't recap any history and rather massively adds on to it. You should start with reading and learning as much as you can about the Justice league and its main members before moving onto rebirth

New 52 is a great starting point actually. It even has the origin stories (not that anyone really needs more of that xD). I started with that and I felt like I hadn't missed anything. My biggest problem however, is that the amount of tie-ins is ridiculous. You'll still get the main picture if you don't go into those, but you'll miss out on some cool stuff. That kinda wore me out. I haven't read anything in a while.

I love how not just Rebirth but Convergence as well as DC themselves confirmed that these events officially brought back ALL the past and alternate continuity within the DC multiversal canon, even elseworlds, alternate universe stories etc exist for them to play around with. So technically everything DC ever done is canon which is awesome and Rebirth is awesome!

Surprised you didn't mention what happened recently in Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Crops. Kyle, Saint Walker and the Guardians tried to "bring hope back" but someone (seemingly Manhattan) directly interfered to stop them because hope was one of the things he took when he reshaped the DCU and he doesn't want them to get it back. Also surprised there was no mention of Mr. Oz secretly collecting people like Tim Drake, Doomsday and Prophecy.

P Smith I'm not saying new 52 is better than rebirth, it's not. rebirth has been phenomenal almost all titles have been great. I'm just saying rebirth JL has yet to wow me. it's still pretty early, there is still time to turn the tide.

It's a good way to introduce new readers to the world of comics so honestly IMO I don't have a problem with it. I mean imagine being a new reader and getting confused af after realizing that lex luthor's a hero now,member of the justice league and one of the 3 superman of earth prime(main dc universe).

Haljordan4life a lot of rebirth stories are cool but the worst ones are the ones bogged down with conenuity fixing like old superman mixing with his new 52 body and all that crap.

Oh man! Thanks for this video. I'm fairly new to comic book reading and all the history makes it overwhelming! For example I'm currently reading Nightingale rebirth! But a lot of what's happening is pointing to the past. I read 1 volume of the nightwing 52 and I really liked the batman 52 I got 4 or 5 volumes in. Anyway, this video helped explain some things about what the rebirth is doing! There's just soo much! My plan is to stick with the Bat family for now but I've never read a Flash comic and I heard wonder woman is good too! idk! anyway, thanks for the video
