Creating a team is no easy job, and judges Kelli Finglass and Judy Trammell have their work cut out for them...and it shows.

CMT’s longest running original non-music series, Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making The Team, returns for its eleventh season on Thu, Aug 25 at 9/8c.
The series will follow a new group of hopefuls who compete to fulfill their lifelong dream of landing a highly coveted spot on the elite Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad. Melissa Rycroft returns to mentor the new recruits, while Kellie Pickler makes a surprise visit to Training Camp to learn some moves and share insight into how she handles being in the spotlight. Fellow Texan and Grammy Award-winner Kacey Musgraves will also stop by to talk to the girls about staying true to themselves, and share her stand-out picks to make the team.

Emerald Smith Im guessing thats a standard for nfl performers. Its not like they get paid a less when comparing them to other teams. either way can't judge them when the girls know what they get paid and still choose to do it.

Uh... they know the pay scale when they try out. If they don’t like it... they don’t have to try out.

Roughly $37.50 an hour. More than I make an hour as a RN

@@hotNsour79 there's aren't many games though, whereas you work year-round. For example, the cowboys played 17 games in 2010. At $150 a game that means the cheerleaders made 2,550 that year. For the whole year. The mascot makes 65,000 a year.

kelli really is beautiful! i watched season 11 episode 6 tonite on youtube, and she looked especially wonderful. i think i saw her with non-red hair once, and nope, didnt work. she is an amazing red head!

1:00 damn, they were tearing into my girl Chandler during season 9 🤣 she was one of my favorites i thought she was so cute❤️🤗 even though she did not get much screen time until the episode when she was about to be cut from the team 😔

@@tinmanluver35 I don't think she's so harsh on them because their weight affects their dancing. It does but that's not why she's tough on them. They're purely sex appeal. They need to look good in the traditional sense. I don't know why any girl would want to be valued purely for her appearance alone. If Kelli wants to set an example, she should hold herself to the same standards she holds the cheerleaders to.

I have seen how coaches yell at their players. It can get pretty brutal. These ladies might sound a bit catty, but you are trying out as a professional cheerleader. Grow some thick skin, suck it up, and make yourself better. You know what you are getting into. Should have used your time off getting in shape and taking dance classes. There are at least 1000 other women vying for your spot

Well Judy and Kelli look alot way better then the 20 year olds trying out. Regardless of the age they're well shape then a fat 18 year old. I mean the older people will always have wisdom , Bad idea to put a young judge they would have no idea.

Can someone please explain to me why they're doing actual cheerleading stunts/pyramids in this video? They're a pom squad and I've never once seen them do that for a game/performance, so why should girls have to do it to make the team?

That's the only time I've ever seen it on the TV show. Maybe a one-off for a special occasion, or something for show group?

@@decodolly1535 Yes it was a special half-time show and by that point the squad was already announced, so nobody's place on the team was in jeopardy. They were pretty understanding about the stunts and pyramids.

Kelly can be mean sometimes. Kitty is absolutely horrid. Some ladies are demeaned unnecessarily. Perhaps this is for ratings.

I really don't like this show sends wrong message there are some young girls that deal with self esteem issues and for them to be on TV and tell a girl that they are small enough is wrong and most are under 135 this sad don't people know that you have girls being bullied for this same they are depressed taking there lives this is wrong I feel if you know from the start that they weight a little over don't waste your time are there's and to tell someone that they are to short wake up people I want to see those two women do it seriously
