DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer is the follow-on to the renowned DCS: A-10C Warthog, and it brings many improvements and new additions like the latest weapons, a helmet-mounted sight, and new graphics.
The A-10C is the premiere Close Air Support (CAS) aircraft of the United States, and it saw extensive use in Iraq and Afghanistan. Tank Killer brings you the most realistic PC simulation of the A-10C that includes the accurately simulated flight dynamics, avionics, sensors, and weapon systems. You also have the option to play Tank Killer in "Game" mode for a casual game experience. Fly missions against and with a wide array of air, land, and sea forces. @@justaregularguy3827 Yep. They sent us the gun cam footage and a box of cigars for getting them some work. We put together a post-deployment video and the guy that made it used the clips that audio is in so I recognized it immediately.

When a plane is literally built around a single weapon system (seriously, it becomes aerodynamically unstable without it) they have to include lots of it. Every other plane might have its gimmick, but nothing to this level.

@@Flow-.- If you dont already own any modules I wouldnt recommend jumping straight into the A-10, this thing is amazing but easily the most complicated and difficult aircraft to learn/understand. I'd suggest getting something like the f-16 first and waiting to get the A-10 in a sale, it is still an awesome aircraft. Hope this helps :)

@Jimmy That may depend on expectations and in no small part also on hardware capabilities. Definitely not a "game" for your average gamer, but a failure? Has its flaws for sure, but for what it provides to those who like to take things seriously, I'd argue it is (as a consumer product) second to none.

? Er, no, they did not as the engines are the same, they have added and removed items that have changed over time. They did change the flight model slightly.

Well done, we all like this. I have to say ED, the $10 upgrade for previous owners is a lovely gesture. As much criticism as DCS gets for the pricetags, this and many other modules are pretty fair. This is a niche market and developing something for a fairly small audience that takes an immense amount of effort is going to have higher costs. What I appreciate is that I have never seen a blatant cash-grab from ED. That's not to say all modules are created equal, but seeing as though many AAA companies nowadays charge $60-80 for a game which has half the depth and virulent microtransactions, I think that ED's business model is very fair and the customer is respected. Since DCS is unequivocally the preeminent modern combat flight simulator, they could behave much worse and still get away with it. The fact that they have cancelled projects before because they did not meet their standards speaks very highly of ED's integrity as a company. No organization is perfect, but from what I see as of late and what is to come, I think that ED is going down the right path, so long as they don't let greed and shortsightedness take hold.

My grandfather flew these in desert storm he actually commanded the 75th fighter squadron which is the sharks the most iconic A-10 squadron, they had the shark mouth on the front like you see in game.

I fly the a-10c, f/a-18c and the ka-50, but I went from flying a-10c (so slow!) To flying the f/a-18c (not the fastest but it felt great being able to go near supersonic all the way there, and then run out of fuel cause I was bad at fuel management when I first started) To flying the ka-50 (oml this boi so slow I'm happy it has a really great autopilot so I can get coffee and snacks while I wait to get to the AO.)

i was hesitant to buy this module because they said it was pretty hard to learn but i got it on sale anyways...this thing is a blast. Easily my favorite plane in DCS. I am not a very good pilot but in this baby i feel like a god hovering above the battlefield. I landed this beast with 1.5 wings and a ripped off engine after taking out countless enemy tanks and it didn't even stutter a bit on the runway. I recommend this to everyone who likes A/G even a bit.

@@CakePrincessCelestia pukes from motionsickness alongside you at 35fps ish in Index. Joking aside I used to get solid 90 with odd drop to 45asw esp online in 1.5 and 2.0 then 2.2. Even early 2.5x it was ok then suddenly my performance tanked and never been right since and 45asw is best I get but it drops under a fair bit esp online and on tarmac/down low in the weeds and not just over cities.

Doc Gonzo go to your Power settings in control panel, make sure everything is on maximum performance, also in your graphics settings make sure global settings are set to maximum proformanc settings for power output and also in graphics settings for DCS make sure output power settings in control panel is set to prefer maximum proformance should solve your problem. Seems as you have got a update and power settings are set to save so your processor and graphics card are getting less power causing frame drop windows 10 does this so many times after the big updates

@@bobbyguns100 thanks for that I didn't think to check as didn't realise those settings could be reverted and indeed they were. Was a while ago I set them last as generally always run max perf etc. Should have though on since win10 keeps goosing my other settings I should have checked. Thanks for the heads up, appreciated sir.
