Hellreign...After you came over the top and fired your first missile in the first engagement, did you low speed buffet and lose control a bit before releasing? Almost looked like it kind of brought your nose around to help your firing solution on GS

i hold my breath every time hellreign executes that maneuver, as i think "oh shoot.. that maneuver again", but Gs managed to make it into a stand off. good job

The M61 Vulcan cannon on the Tomcat was driven Hydraulically! If I remember right... the largest hydraulic line on the Tomcat was the one feeding the Vulcan cannon!

Not to invoke politics, but I wonder how real life F-14s of American and Iranian services would fare against each other today. I think time and technical expertise/difficulties would put the Iranians at a significant disadvantage. The American jets must be in much better shape and have better equipment by now.

The best outcome of this fight for me would've been if both you guys ran outta ammo and fuel to keep the fight going so you had to RTB. Cus I hate seeing Tomcats go down lol. Nonetheless a very very exciting and helluva entertaining dogfight. Props!

That was a very entertaining dogfight by both Tomcats. I wonder what it would sound like if both Jesters were put split screen next to eachother. Probally chaos lol. I couldnt help but laugh how you were victorious, and all the sudden "oh shit...I ran out of fuel". Nothing takes the wind out of your sails like when everything starts shutting down.

Probably you already know it, but before firing a sidewinder you should use the other screen on your VDI to see if the target is within the circle of no escape. In many situations you need to have so much lead, that you cannot see the target directly any more, so you have to rely on the VDI. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I love these F-14 videos. It is a very difficult aircraft.

I'll call it a victory by Hellreign82, he'd survived the jump and you'd crashed... that's 1-0 imo; but was a hell of a good and close dogfight that shown 3 things to me, two good pilots, two good planes and how tough the F14 is, it belongs to the air. Really good and tight fight

As a huge fan of the Tomcat I've noticed more and more as a novice that it really is just as much of a battle with the aircraft. Always would upset me when I would try to dogfight (no missles) other craft since if you have missles as you point out at that moment of crossing I go for a vertical pull around to try and pop off a missle. But all be it massively late seeing this it was a great video and a good lesson 👍

Dude, I love your content. Playing crude combat flight sims is part of what got me into a flying career later in life. Those games were so amazing to a young kid. That said I'd love to get back into these games but I haven't been up to speed on Gaming PCs or hardware for a decade or more. Could you do a video on what you use for a PC and peripherals to play DCS? Do you use a VR headset? What would you recommend to someone getting into this game? I think it would be a great addition to your channel.

Actually Iran only has AIM-54 missiles for the Tomcat. No Sidewinders or Sparrows. Those are the only ones they managed to receive before deliveries were stopped.
