Growling Sidewinder If you're doing an F-15 play it to its strengths if possible. High speed energy gameplay. I'm still new to DCS but learning the "meta", especially since it's so closely related to real life, is one of the best parts!

interesting dogfight and debrief in tacview. i am just a bit curious about the speed and G force when you make a turn or maneuver in high speed. i think if you also analyze these aspects in your vids that will be get more interesting. thanks for the vids anyway.

These videos are good but your su27 v su27 'dance of the sukhoi's' video really set the bar high. In fact, I'm going to watch it again for about the 40th time. I'm not sure what the status of the f22 is in DCS but if or when it's available if you don't get the other sukhoi pilot from that video and basically do 'dance of the raptors' then you sir are a bastard!

I have an effective strategy against AI controlled F-15, let him fire first AMRAAM at max range, which is easy to dodge, then fire R-27ER, and then R-27ET when enemy is in range. Works 95%, and when we fight on low altitudes, sometimes enemy crashes into the ground trying to dodge my R-27ER.

Su-27 can pull more G at low speed, and F-15 can pull more G's at higher speeds. Also Su-27+ has best turn rate among all modern aircrft. So F-15 should use trust to weight advantage.

Especially don't go vertical when the enemy is an F-15 cause that's their game with the amount of engine power they have
@londonberry21805 жыл бұрын
Never vertical a F 15
@chefboyarb3 жыл бұрын
Why is that if you don’t mind me asking?
@londonberry21803 жыл бұрын
@@chefboyarb They have better energy retention than the Su 27 or MiG 29. MiG 23s were said to have about the same energy retention as the F 15, and in Soviet aggressor exercises, instructors flying MiG 23s constantly beat novice MiG 29 pilots in dogfights by going vertical. And personally I think the Su 27 has got worse energy retention than the MiG 29, so trying to vertical the F 15 in it would be suicide IMO.
@artemvektor12 жыл бұрын
@@londonberry2180 you are not right. Google first Su27 vs f15 exercise in USA, 1992. Su27 beated f15 using vertical, as it more stable and manuravable at speed 600-650km/h

You can tell dcs is developed in Russia the sukois are the best aircraft... try in an f14 going vertical after the merge head on and see if he goes up with you, it seems that is the best aircraft and best dogfighting ai in game.

I would not go vertical but would not reverse my turns either. A vertical turn is much tighter however
@blitzkriegbarry52674 жыл бұрын
Tighter, but takes the same amount of time, maybe more, so the only reason vertical turning would be better is because you have lotd of energy
@satish82995 жыл бұрын
The F35 is not in DCS right, but what if you comabat a F35 with a Su27 in a long distance fight and with a dogfight, who would win? What is your opinion on the F35. Stealth is not real F14 pilots say. F35 seems to be a usesless plane
@GrowlingSidewinder5 жыл бұрын
satish8299 ya there is a lot of controversy around the f35 I've heard it described as a flying turkey or a flying toilet by American pilots. And then I've also heard it called the next amazing thing nothing can match it. I don't think we will ever know until it enters a real conflict and we can see how it preforms
@r.i.p24645 жыл бұрын
satish8299 stealth is real. It does lower the capability of the radar that is trying to find you, however! Sensors are also evolving and its only a matter of time that they caught up and render stealth useless. I secretly wish stealth would prevail so if everyone is stealth it could bring back close engagement and dogfights rather than just volleying multiple missile onto a distant target.
@nick216145 жыл бұрын
@@r.i.p2464 Stealth is never useless if you can lock and fire before the enemy. Dragging all your missiles outside the jet makes that easier.
@Tbonyandsteak4 жыл бұрын
It is simple physics: Big heavy body, weak engine, small wings. = Bad dogfigther. So its missiles is its only small advantage, shoot far far away.
