Mods have always helped games grow in so many different ways. To help add on or even completely change the way the game was originally made.
Today I'm showing off the A-4E Skyhawk in DCS. A FREE full fidelity module that just give you so may different A/G weapons to choose from. AND IT'S ALL FREE!!!!
So try it out on ECW Server and as always... ENJOY!

Very cool. The tactical camo livery is of my very first squadron (VC-5) which was stationed at NAS Cubi Pt., Philippines. I was a plane captain, CDI, QA, and turn qual'd maintainer of these aircraft. Great memories, and I'm honored that Heclak (A-4 developer) put our squadron livery in the game. This is a great little module, and is very accurate. Wish they could work things out with ED on getting this into the game as an official module, but not sure that's gonna happen. Anyways, just wanted to share.

@@DTMCRAZYGAMING I didn't like the su25t that comes for free because cockpit isn't clickable so I downloaded this mod. I also fly vsn F4, gripen, uh60 but nothing compares to A4

I spend a lot of time flying the Skyhawk, it's a very well done mod. I notice that you don't have the radar altimeter turned on. It's useful when attacking to warn you to pull up, but it also let's you know when you lift off during takeoff and the you can immediately raise your gear to start gaining speed. For the missile, if you have the armaments panel set to ripple then it will still ripple the missiles, best to set it to single or only select one missile station at a time.

I normally fly low on the deck so I never bother with the altimeter(don't have to have it beep at me every 2 sec). For the missile. during the rec. i forgot to change my settings. thanks for heads up.

@@DTMCRAZYGAMING yeah if you're low all the time it can get a little annoying. You can rotate the knob to change the warning altitude though. Might work for you.

The Skyhawk is one of my favorite planes at this time, unfortunately my PC is not "powerful" enough for DCS. But as soon as I'm able to play DCS this will be the first MOD I'm going to get, and the fact that it's FREE makes it even better 😀

When you mentioned about job opportunities - I think the main dev from this got a job at Heatblur (makers of the Viggen and Tomcat modules) off of this. So, yeah!

I picked this up as my starting frame. 6 months in I can now complete missions on enigmas cold war server and actually sometimes mostly get back alive. Need to be careful in MP servers. One thing I didn't fully appreciate when I started is that mig21s and mirages etc can Chase you down from a long way away! So always make sure you got your exit strategy planned! I've just now picked up the viggen, but glad I took the time playing the free module first

I totally understand, but if you go into the special settings. You can change the steering mechanic where it’s steers, like the MiG 21 and 19.

Hello, could you do a tutorial on the basics of Enigma Cold War PvP? Along with that some times on how not to die as an A-4.

I currently have no plans to make tutorials except for maybe a little bit in my intros. I would definitely suggest going on enigma’s discord page and type “!faq” in chat to get a PowerPoint on how the server runs. Also, I don’t have too much experience with the A4. So that you’ll just have to learn overtime and definitely ask anyone else that might have more experience than me. But I do know the A4 act more like a bomber just for the fact that it’s very hard to get your speed back if you pull too hard

I agree coming up through the clouds in DCS is stunning, I always take time to look. A4 is great fun on ECW server.

Hopefully the bomb script is implemented on the server. It'll fix some of the issues you talk about at 7:44

If you're an Admin/Dev that would be great. I've always found the bombs in DCS to be too under power. Seem like they have to be dead on to make it work out.

@@DTMCRAZYGAMING Oh, I don't have the honor of either of those titles. I just play on ECW a lot. There has been some discussion on discord about adding in a splash script. The bomb you drop will be detected, and where it falls, a larger bomb will be spawned in it's place. I'm all for it, at least until DCS bomb damage calculation doesn't treat all bombs as only containing TNT. By the way, great work in the Skyhawk. The part with the rockets and the workshop was surprising to me too. And I've heard the Mk 20s do better with a flatter trajectory, allowing them to get a longer spread. (Although you did just fine in your pass with them.) Anyways, thanks for the video showing off how cool the scooter is.

I'm not 100% sure but I think there is talk about the dev of this mod making an official aircraft added to DCS but I'm not sure.

The current mod developers do not want to make it into an official module, and I don't think ED is planning one, but if a third party wants to make an A-4 module they can.
