Update on the 4 set augments, SSG ended up putting them in other raids despite them being presented as L Chronoscope loot in the preview. Here's where you can get them: According to crafting table in the hut: +3 tactics requires 3x page regalia: exiled cloak from morgrave raid, +3 imbue die requires 3x kelas orb from skeletons, 10% HP requires 3x stablestone trinket from hunter/hunted, and +3 assassinate DC requires 3x page regalia: unsanctioned cloak from morgrave raid.

The Illithid invasion event did highlight the comraderie of many DDO players as various ones teamed up, posted their findings on the forums and helped each other out. That aspect of the event was just wonderful. Sure, it was flawed and I can think of many ways to improve it; let’s hope our feedback did not fall on deaf ears. I like the deck of many blessings-you have to use it rightly-curse cannith crafting/dino blanks for example. Sell the CC stuff on the auction house if the result is not for you-someone else might go for it.

You've basically replaced DDO cast. Wish you could do that, you are very good at covering the news.

The set augments seem nice, I'm sure the override is a balance thing since there's already loot that can be part of multiple sets but regardless, it immediately makes a number of other items more viable now that don't already have set bonuses like the illithid invasion gear. I'm not going to do the grind for the new crafting system, I threw a couple onto high level gear at first but then decided it'd be more interesting to add them to lowbie TR gear instead; I got the +6STR when using an action boost on a ml4 cannith crafted weapon & it's a lot of fun.

I wish pvp was more relevant in ddo...like pay astral shards and have a tournament for certain loot...who doesn't love playoffs in sports?

I was just going to put the random curse effects on my leveling gear. Why does everything have to be for end game optimizers?

I wasn't able to participate into the event either (although I played the new quests when they got available), but if the illithid are only appearing in Reaper Mode, either it's a design choice or they pigbacked on the Reaper spawn mechanics.

Random effects sucked when they released the challenge dungeons in Menace of the Underdark. You had to collect so much material to get all random features. It is just time consuming grind. It is always better - if if the material cost is higher, to be able to pick the exact feature.

L chronoscope severely disappointed me. Complete copy and Paste. I was really hoping they’d give us a new story with us finally rescuing Natt Gann and bringing Nelle home. But nope :(

this evening I parted with some toons who claimed that CANNITH was a dead server... which I did not admit to scoffing at that insinuation, but it did get me thinking: IF DDO does some server contraction and, lets say, Cannith is on the theoretical chopping block, how would I, as the account holder, be contacted for such a movement?

And the augment slot gear has no original set bonus. Will the 'override augment' give it a set bonus?

That event was the worse. I play rouges. A little tanky. I do run solo at times. Those thralls would heal each other. You get more than two together and that is not a fight I can win. As a result I, for the most part, refrained from playing. And that purple gloom was hard on my eyes. I haven't walked off so many bridge or running into thing since I started to play. As for the card system. Yeah, I am going to pass on that. I have yet to hear anything real positive about the card crafting system. Looking forward to the new cat quest. I am hoping that it will be fun.

If we could stop repeating the same quests and pretending it's a new quest that'd be great but by this point that's what ddo is. Do a quest in heroic, repeat in epic, repeat in legendary.

13:10 I really disliked that Illithid event to the point where I played less often. It should have had an opt out like the mimic event.

Lately SSG does everything wrong, it doesn't take advantage of events, it recycles content over and over again, it doesn't listen to the feedback of those who test in Lamm. It seems like they don't do things with love, this game is slowly declining.
