Edit is on the Left, original Challenge chart is on the Right for comparison.
I'm making a series of edits. To the 18-footers.
Early-era DDR 18's are widely considered terrible charts, with people considering X2 to be the first time 18s started being less terrible. So I'm going back and 'fixing' early-era 18-footers except DEAD END (see previous video for what I did to that).
I honestly like this edit, the only worry is that I'm pretty sure I'm not justified in calling this an 18.
Also, I really hate that middle section, in terms of timing. Who the Hell uses 5th-let notes like that?

i really dig the slowdown, i've never seen quintuplets in a DDR chart before and now i think we need more

Really dig the slowdown and I can see why it’s practically unchartable around the polyrhythms section. The time signature changes to 9/4 (if slowdown included, 9/16) and the charter wants to fit into 5 beats, in which they must’ve miscalculated the tempo by just 1.111… beats. 274/4 = 68.5 BPM on the 9/4 section results in 1 bar being 4.5 beats long. 68.5*5/4.5 = 76.11111111…. Is supposed to be the correct result which is impossible to input a fully precise number even on stepmania since the decimal never stops. And even if we were to input it as precise as it can go, none of stepmania’s or ddr’s quants have a multiple of 5, so it’s impossible to make it perfectly sync. Up to 4 ms difference (60/274/48 * 1000 = 625/137 or roughly 4.562 ms) in stepmania and 1875/137 (13.69) ms in ddr even if positioned as close. I would continue on with the 7/4 part but I am going to end it here for now.

In NGO's very specific defense, it was charted in an era where this chart was not possible - literally, in fact; the original NGO was charted before quantizations other than 4th/8th/16th/32nd/64ths existed. Also, this chart is still really bad; the middle section is still, uh, really badly out of sync, and now there's too many notes to simply memorize your step way through.

@@Wrswest Well yeah the middle section needs to be fixed up a bit but the rest of the song is still way more fun than the konami chart imo

This is a very old edit that I'm no longer proud of. Also, attempting to chart the middle section was a large chunk of the point. That section is legitimately unchartable.

@@Wrswest It's quite possible to have that section fixed without recharting the entire chart. It needs 12th, 16th and 24th notes in that section. I already made a video about it
