@@Animadrop No but really, the instrumentation and sound here gives me such a profound sense of nostalgia, somehow... both that synth part and also the "they can run, they can hide, but if she wants to fight...". Like the 2000/2010s electronic music, y'know the stuff you'd hear in gaming mixes or the edgy 360p AMV edits of the time. Y2Kcore! .....good days. Thing is if you asked me to show a single piece of music from that time period as an example to show what I'm talking about I couldn't because it doesn't exist. I don't *think* I've heard anything like this, much less in the 2000s where electronic pretty much meant either repetitive techno/acid, pop remixes, fart fart dubstep or later NCS "house" music (y'know which lol). But this shit still takes me back... similar to how Bach's organ pieces and Walter Rizzati's "I remember" (from Fulci's "The House By The Cemetery") takes me back to retro era gaming, especially the Castlevania series. The only relationship in the case of the latter is that the pipe organ is, to our modern ears, associated with vampires or macabre fiction in general, hence Castlevania (though not any recent vampire games, not Vampire: The Masquerade, not Vampyre, not V rising etc, hell, not even recent 3D Castlevania. Just the retro games...) The only relationship in the case of the *former* is synths are associated with electronic music. But then, why does it feel so... profound? Most your music (at least the ones I see on this channel) make me feel the same way, probably owing to your very much distinct style esp. with the choice of instruments/plugins and yes, the melodies. This I feel is especially true for your more uhh... "epic" music, like this one, stuck in a timeloop (whereas escaping the timeloop is echoes synthwave instead), now I think about you, neon melancholy, as a few examples of what I mean off the top of my head (forgive if I made a mistake in their names!). They're so very familiar, like a cherished memory you're *aware* that you've forgotten. Nostalgia for something you've never experienced? Idk how to explain it but I guess that's the point of music, eh?
