very simple good ole boy 2 valve per cylinder overhead cam V8...none of that high revving multi cam multi valve screaming Italian BS....you'd break your wallet before you broke one of these motors and have your wife AND daughter in the parlour just to fill up...but who cares

You are right, but there is no overhead cam, just one single cam down in the valley, which serves all 16 valves…😊
