Note: This instructional guide applies to versions of Bob with serial numbers beginning with "2XX1" (X refers to a letter or digit). Bob's serial number is located on the inside of his cover. To find it, remove his dustbin and flip him over.
Deactivate The Edge Sensors on bObsweep Pethair
Dark-colored carpeting and certain floor patterns may seem like edges to Bob’s edge sensors.
If Bob stops working and displays Trouble NR 4, then you may need to temporarily deactivate his edge sensors.
First, flip Bob’s side power switch ON.
Hold down the UV button on his cover. The 5 bars along the top of his display will flash 7 times, then remain lit.
Release the UV button and Bob’s edge sensors are deactivated. Bob will work on dark flooring but will not detect ledges.
Remember to re-activate Bob’s edge sensors if he will be working near stairs or any other ledges where Bob could fall.
Once again, hold down the UV button. The 5 bars along the top of his display will flash 7 times, then disappear. Release the UV button and Bob’s edge sensors are now active, so Bob can safely return to working all over the home.
