@@dannyspina5715 You might find the topic of Proto Indo-European religion interesting. They were a people that lived on the Eurasian steppes 5,000 years ago and nearly half of people today speak a language descended from their language. Many of their gods also got passed down to later daughter cultures in various forms. Their chief deity was called Dyeus Phter, literally translated as the Sky Father. This got passed down to various cultures, for example Zeus Pater (later just Zeus) in Greece, Jupiter in Rome, Tyr in Ancient Scandinavia, and Dyaus Pita in ancient India.

I am the wind that bellows through the branches, the plants swaying and the creatures that crawl beneath. The warm embrace of the sun that once adorned my skin is now the damp in the undergrowth. @kimlee6643
@kimlee6643 Ай бұрын
It kinda doesn't make much sense. The skull is leaning on the chin, which would not be a normal resting position since it would rotate to lay on its side/face due to sheer weight. The skeleton is also in contact with seawater, meaning that erosion would work fast and easy, meaning this couldn't be too old, which I think is the whole point of the image - unknown dead gods of another age. Never mind the bad anatomy. None of it makes any actual sense, and you want some amount of sense to instill a feeling of the fantastical. This is why AI can be so uncanny across every single subject/theme/aesthetic, it doesn't "understand" what its portraying. It's half way there though, that's for sure.
@arandomsteve2251
@arandomsteve2251 Ай бұрын
@@kimlee6643 that's what the second spine is for of course! keeping that heroic chin square and on centre.
@mekullag9787
@mekullag9787 Ай бұрын
@@kimlee6643 to me all of this helped the picture. "Good" anatomy would have suggested a big human, but this is supposed to be something entirely different. Whatever its bones are made of survived the seawater with no issue, adding to the mystery but also implying a strength and long-livedness that would have been far beyond humanity. And real artists typically make the mistake of not asking how a skeleton stayed together the way it did throughout the centuries. Aside from the way it rests on its chin you could have asked what still keeps the arm perfectly in line with the shoulder, if all connective tissue has seemingly disappeared. You´d be correct to ask that question, but since I´m (and likely most people are) so used to this error, it doesn´t even detract from an image anymore. In a video game I might just assume the thing is going to stand up and fight me at some point.

We killed all the gods, for their were an obstacle in our endeavors. But now, in a world without gods, there is nothing and nobody who cares for what is important. Our songs are about victory and massacre, but only the madmen and the fanatics can prosper. Only the strongest can decide among the red rivers and the ashes. Live!!! Said the last of the gods. The skeleton in the picture is interesting because if it were a human, it would have fallen apart, scattered and been buried. In this picture the huge skeleton of the unknown god has seemingly washed up on shore...completely intact. Why did its flesh fade but its bones stay together if not to say "I am still here" but "I am gone" at the same time.

Maybe the body washed ashore, then the flesh was eaten by seagulls over the course of centuries, but the divine ligaments were too strong, so they held the bones together.
@eliteteamkiller319
@eliteteamkiller319 7 күн бұрын
Well, there are some things about the gods most people may not know... You see, gods never truly die. Its flesh is gone, yes. But... should worshipers rediscover this god, over time, its flesh will creep out of its bones, and slowly but surely the god will be reborn. If there are no worshipers, the skeleton will remain until it is buried through eons of dust and debris, and then it will become the foundation for a new mountain, helping the mountain and forests around it grow from its residual power. That is, unfortunately, one of the worst fates for a god, because then it is extremely unlikely anyone will stumble upon it and worship it. But, the important thing here is that, in death, the god remains in some form or another, so that there is hope that one day some small sentient animals or people will stumble across it and worship it, reviving it once more.

In the shadows deep, where souls doth weep, The greater minds do wander and seek, Through the dark and the forgotten tales, They tread, unraveling ancient veils. In the thick air, ripe fruits' scent doth cling, A heavenly choir in whispers sing, Of journeys past, of souls untold, Of mysteries lost, of stories bold. With hands raised high, they lock the gate, To realms unseen, where fates await, Where souls and minds intertwine, In the cosmic dance, a timeless sign.

Of greater days come and gone, this fact remains true. That time marches ever on, around, over, and right through. O be it said from atop mountains high, and down to valleys far below. That time crumbles things by and by, rendering all touched one day hollow. Grind down the mountain, sheer the peaks, reduced one day to sands. And echo unto one that seeks, answers in forgotten lands. Know that one truth remains unshaken, hallowed above all. The ones perceived divine were mistaken, for in the end even gods fall.

...I am soooo grateful... I had a very, very melancholic mindset this morning, had been sad about so many things that go wrong on our beautiful planet because of mankind, and even my dog-companions couldn't change it. I wandered the forest behind my home half of the day, sat down for a meditation after that and found THIS stunningly beautiful piece of yours, dear Athena. It soothed the pain in my heart and my companions are lying around me slumbering peacefully now while we are listening to your music... Thank you. Love, peace and blessings from a small piece of ancient Celtic forest in Western Germany from a loner who tries to listen to the soft whispers of the old gods and what they left to us every day and night in selfmade loneliness. Blessed be everyone. 🖤🤍🙏🏼

I met a traveller from an antique land Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed: And on the pedestal these words appear: "My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!" No thing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away. - "Ozymandias" by Percy Shelley

The fog creeps in on silent paws, A shroud for giants, long since gone. bleached bones lie scattered on the shore, A silent testament to a power unknown. The sea gnaws at the edges of the world, Reclaiming what it once let go. The wind whispers secrets through the ribs, Of battles fought, and storms below. The world moves on, indifferent, To the titans that once walked the earth. But in the hush of the fog-bound beach, Their memory is a haunting worth.

Putting on my headphones and clicking the link, I was instantly transported to a hidden place deep within myself. It felt like a secluded area of my soul, though I don't quite understand how something so deep can also feel so vast. Maybe the artist who created this music could explain it. As I listened, a soft, feminine voice whispered in the background. It felt like there was a message, something important that needed to be said. The message carried the weight of existence itself, making me feel temporary and small. Life is fleeting, and in that fleetingness, I search for all the experiences I haven't yet had. Neither my home, family, love, nor work have given me even a glimpse of the feeling I get from this music - a feeling of dissolving and disappearing. It's a hidden mystery, a distant call from my soul. I want to be pulled further in, to drown deeper in its dark, distant paradise.

In the mountains, valleys, oceans, clouds, Lies temples left abandoned. Civilizations turned to dust, Old customs now stranded. I look at this place, so beautiful, so divine, The place that once flourished all around, And yet, when I look at it now, There is but a single whisper to surround. The songs, the glee, the laughter, the cheers, The joy, the sadness, the anger, the fear, Every word, every feeling, every action ever executed, No more to be seen, nor heard, for it has all concluded. I look at this playpen that I made so carefully, Filled it with unprecedented spirits and life. I realize the consequences of my actions, The demise I created, and for it I strife. In a fit of rage, I lashed out. My children now motionless, alongside their family, As I recall their flout, Towards the beings they created, that call themselves "humanity". As I look down, I notice, The humans praying like dogs, I regret my actions, and send a messenger to them, To inform them that they pray to dead gods.

In realms where time's forgotten sighs, Where echoes of lost prayers arise, Lies the domain of gods long gone, Their tales now whispered, hushed, withdrawn. Their names engraved in ancient lore, Yet in the silence, they are no more. Forgotten altars gather dust, Where once devout would kneel in trust. Their temples crumble, worn by age, Their power spent, lost to the page. No hymns resound, no candles burn, In crypts where once their essence churned. Their dominion, now but a dream, A faded echo in the stream Of time that flows relentless on, Long after their existence gone. Yet in the whispers of the wind, In shadows where the memories pinned, Their essence lingers, faint and cold, A tale of glory once untold. For even in their silent grave, Their legacy still dares to brave The passage of each fleeting hour, As fragments of their reign empower. So let us ponder, as we trod, The fate of gods who've met their sod. For in their fall, we too may see The fleeting nature of our decree.

Carcosa walked solemnly along the beach, his long red cloak nearly grazing the water as it hit the shore. The air was heavy, and filled with the smell of rotting pomegranate. As he approached the massive former divine being, now reduced to a mere shell, he considered what may have brought down such an impossible creature. He made his way towards the skull, and began reaching up, placing a foot at the base of its jaw. With some effort, he managed to pull himself to the crevice where a nose had presumably been. An orange light glows within. Carcosa squeezed through a hole in the center, and crawled into the spot a brain once resided. He reached a hand out towards the light.

“My temples are abandoned or destroyed, the altars decayed. No one kneels before me. The prayers are gone. The offerings are gone. I've been abandoned. Yet, I still sing. I still call. Just in case someone hears. Just in case I might be found. And if I'm changed in the process, I will open my essence and welcome it.”

Deep in mountains There stands a temple beside the sea Vines climb its walls As stone crumbles to dust Something calls you to enter it Pulling at your very soul If you dare enter after it You will find simply an alter And a relic Held up by carefully thin pillars Was a thin marble winged man Face worn away with time Cracks shot through its form You could still feel the power here One that keeps you silent And kneel before it The rest of the temple is broken Yet the alter and relic still stand Listen And you will hear the singing A god still rests here Forgotten Abandoned It is simply your choice to listen

I saw giants carved in perfect proportions on a rocky set of mountains. They were exactly this size and their muscle development was unbelievable. Just imagining living in that time scared the life outta me because their so huge and strong they would crush me and not even know it. The feeling was so profound as if I was one of them. Perhaps a form of Neplim.

"You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today. That would be within the infinite multiplicity of choices you would have. Of playing that you weren't God. Because the whole nature of the godhead, according to this idea, is to play that he is not." ~ The Dream of Life - Alan Watts

Hauntingly beautiful. I rarely felt so alone tho or had a stronger wish to get to places only excisting in my mind. If there are gods they are propably lonely too. Or maybe the only god is time, but anyway I am glad I spent mine listening to this.

I think "dead" stands for dead in this sense. Imagine all the gods of ancient civilizations that met their end by unknown and unspeakable horrors. What could be destructive and twisted enough, that could kill an entity that is eternal and all-powerful? And if this "thing" is capable of killing Gods, then what hope is there for the rest of us?

Once upon a time I walked this Land. How do I remember its form? I am not sure. A lot of things happened. Great adventures throughout forgotten Lands, lost places, even in other Dimensions. Deserts, hillscapes, mountainous Terrain at the end of the World, where dark Towers resemble lost chapters of strange gods. There Was a great place filled with glory, kinship, mystery, wisdom teachers, unconcentional magic dwelling on the edge of ordinary existence. Yet this type of place is not fitting. It is within and within only. I know i can enter, but it is different now. Bonds have been severed, houses razed by cold mind. Now there is cold stone and dead temples But that after all that has happened it is still there. It makes me smile more than anything and I am glad to go back there, for far too long there have been distractions by the outer World.
