To this day I don't understand how no big studio has brought the Timesplitters series back. It is rather "easy" to make, super fun and also easy to sell and even monetize with all the variety already present. It's a safe bet.

Timesplitters is a timeless franchise that deserves all the praise it gets, Cortez is up there with Master Chief and Gordon Freeman, Future Perfect being on Steam would literally print money.

I did. Because I was that desperate to play Timesplitters 2 again. Before it was on Xbox backwards compatibility.

Cool to hear that you're a TimeSplitters fan. It's my favorite franchise, I love these games. Can't wait for Free Radical's comeback, it's about damn time. And there's also the upcoming fan game, TS Rewind. By the way, I've actually seen a video of DI2 where someone pointed out that there is also an elevator that plays the Mall music from TS1.

Dang, I wish I knew about the elevator music! But I have been patiently waiting for TS Rewind. The project looks like an incredible love letter to the whole franchise.

@@mrsaintsgodzilla21 Just make another video to demonstrate the elevator with the Mall music. More TimeSplitters is always good, lol. And yeah, after all the issues that Rewind has had in the past decade, it's finally making some very good progress, and it's really fun (I'm a QA tester).

A neat little easter egg from TimeSplitters 1 that I caught while playing Dead Island 2 is one at the movie studio section. After you fight the zombies and the boss at the giant spider animatronic area, there's a building you'll go into after that, and the overhead speaker inside the building is playing the music from the TimeSplitters 1 level "Mall". I got super excited when I heard it. I'm a massive TimeSplitters fan since childhood, and it means a lot to see the devs of Dead Island 2 pay their respect to such a legendary and underrated franchise.

This might be a big stretch but the timesplitters Easter egg could also be a nod to Shaun of the dead as in the movie the game Ed is playing in the beginning is timesplitters 2 probably not a reference but still cool that they have that connection

many voices from the characters. in dead island 2 they are also in homefront the revolution. Homefront the Revolution - super underrated game. It's fantastic.

I'm enjoying it for the most part. I have a few gripes but nothing that's ruining the full experience. I still need to try out co-op, I hear that's where a lot of the fun can be had.

I have mixed feeling on the game but my overall experience has been positive. I’ve only played solo so far but I hear co-op really helps this game shine.
