This was a hard watch. Seeing those old photos of how the mall ust to be packed and full of excitement is very sad. This mall has been such a huge part of my childhood and young adulthood. Thanks for the video

Bro, it's so hard to see all these malls across the country closing or in terrible condition. All the nostalgia and the memories people had there

It definitely sucks. However all good things eventually come to an end.

Great to see the videos back again. Kinda miss the days of public access channels and shows with their celebrities. We had the Don Majakowski show here, lol. But granted, Thurman was a much bigger and better NFL player. Awesome video!!!

Man I miss these old malls. I grew up at Randall Park(also a DeBartolo mall) and they had some kick ass fountains. As well as ramps that were so long they had a place to sit and rest in.

I remember the Randal Park Mall from my childhood. It was a larger version of Eastern Hills Mall.

What a well done video! It is interesting, yet sad at the same time to see those old photos from the mall's heyday. America's shopping malls are slowly being replaced with Amazon, and other online shopping sites, which is depressing to witness.

Great video!!! I'm going to miss this mall so much I love those clips. I wish the local news would release archive footage there must be tons and tons of film of these local malls back in the day just sitting in a room somewhere such a shame.

My local mall, Eastfield Mall in Springfield Massachusetts closed 7 months ago and watched it get torn down some yesterday, had been going there all my life, saw Santa there and brought my son there last 10 years to see him to. I think you did a walk through a few years ago there to Anthony... They're planning the same concept as here

So sad to hear this about E.Hills Mall. As someone who lives in Ontario, Canada, we always went across the border to Buffalo / Western NY shopping. Our dollar is too low, but we still occasionally drive across the border. Please do a video on the Outlet Mall on Military Road (it's very empty lately), Walden Galleria, Main Place Mall, and Boulevard Mall. Buffalo area stores/malls have been closing even before the pandemic. Sad.

Every year more and more close so sad maybe one of.the first ones for year willnt be the last unfortunately 11 more months to go. When did it close obviously around this past Christmas did good job decorating ever though they knew be malls last. Miracle last so long if had trouble in 90s. Still had fountain running on last day amazing. So happy you are back!! Be good 24

@@AcesAdventures1 Just wanted to let you know the video of the Sunrise Mall was very special to me because it was where my future Wife and I went to be on an informal date and I was stationed at Ingelside Texas and the Padre Staples mall and the Sunrise were the places to go along with all the other neat places in Corpus Christi. I would say Corpus was unique from all of my duty stations. Originally from N.E. Ohio and I especially liked the Ashtabula and Beaver Valley also besides all your others videos! Grew up with the Chapel Hill mall and actually worked there a few months at the Woolworth.

Good video ..hopefully they don't demolish all of it ...Around here a lot of dead malls have been revived buy them building condo towers in the parking lot or onto the mall ...that has made these malls much more busy becasue then people living in the towers don't have to travel anywhere to shop ...They have become like smaller city centers ..
@19JohnConnor843 ай бұрын
The malls should be preserved and even restored. The parking lots should be turned into restaurant and living complexes around the mall.

The Harrisburg mall will be demolished over the next year, maybe even less. It is still open at the moment with very little stores.
@gordontaylor28155 ай бұрын
Looks like there's a lot of stuff left in that sealed off area that could still be salvaged by sending to the nearest Goodwill or similar store. Hopefully someone will decide it's worth the effort to do that...

This is horrible to see. I went a little bit ago and everything was walled off and there was vendor stands blocking hallways. I only got the last dying years of this place but still remember there being stores and people crowded in there. Is the manager still giving tours? If so, does he have an email I can reach out to him for a tour? Thank you again for a last glimpse at my childhood!

There are still many malls doing all right. Coronado and Cottonwood in Albuquerque. Kenwood in Cincy come to mind. A study could be done and probably has been done about why some malls survive.
