Күн бұрынA look around dead mall Mazza Gallerie in the Friendship Heights neighborhood of Northwest Washington, D.C.in June 2021. The new owner plans to demolish the mall, and replace it with an apartment building. Former tenants included Neiman Marcus, AMC Theatres and McDonald's.

Seemed like a nice little mall. It doesn't even look very old. Small businesses getting killed. A lot of places that hold memories for me being torn down to build "luxury apartments (as if any other kind are being built) too. The future of cities appears to be high rise apartments and everything delivered because there are no stores. I hate it! What became of our consumer paradise!!

Wow. That was a delicious chocolate store. I used to get those little pink chocolate valentines and incorporate into gift bags.. I even remember when the movie theater was on the bottom floor! And the "Tabandeh" jewelry store never changed, things just changed around it. My late ex-husband and I often went there to do Christmas shopping, then go to a movie. Saw premiere of "Harry Potter" there. I went to a movie there as recently as 2018. Didn't even realize it had been demolished. Time is slipping away from me.

i was wondering the SAME thing! i started shopping at that mall back in the early 80s. there was a good record store back then. as an adult? saks and neimans. saks mens moved a few blocks north into the big saks building. TJ maxx is still open. i hope they use this as mixed use with some affordable housing. big push for that along WI and CT AVES.
