Powerus I think

Marts digital mp5000 is built by powerus. It's 450 on big jeff audio.1ohm or 2 ohm version Sam quick question. If im wired to 1ohm and box rise to 2+ohm what ohm version of the marts/powers should I consider? I was thinking 2 ohm because ratings at 4ohm are higher. And with the limiter I can avoid over amperage draw if the amps dips below 2ohms. Ps. do a donation for boom or bust, I'd drop you some $.

@@PunisherOfDeath101 thanks buddy! Wow that sounds like a fantastic deal, I hadn't realised that so I will use that as a recommendation for people in the states when they ask. It's tricky because even though you might rise an average above 2ohm, that may not be the case at all frequencies, and even if it is, the rise varies at different points in the sine wave for example most of the first cycle is closer to nominal rather than fully risen so the amplifier can be more stressed than you think. I would say only go for the 2ohm version wiring to 1 ohm if you have extremely high motor force and high inductance subs, in a oversized enclosure and aren't planning on playing higher frequencies with full power for example over 50 hertz.

@barevids only the mp series is made by powerus. Some other amps are also made in Brazil but not sure who board designs they are using. The mxs 2000.4 says it's made in Brazil but all other mxs models doesn't mention being made in Brazil but engendered in Brazil, those models are probably Chinese made. Lots of marts amps are off the shelf Chinese fullbridge models. What's your opinion on the Brazilian amps for mids and highs or possibly midbass? Are they as clean as Korean class d?

Where in the amp are the fets located? If power supply side, then ALL the PS side fets are gone. If those smoked fets are on the output side, then the damage may be limited. I have several CAB 22 boards that are in need of a rebuild. If you can give me a few weeks i can repair one of them and can sell you a functional board to swap...
