But they became friends after boy george interviewed pete (radio podcast). But still, really a nice gesture from boy george to pay for his funeral.

When I interviewed Pete and DOA back when I had a student press pass, they were sweethearts...couldn't have been nicer! But then again, I didn't ask them "silly" questions like "why are you here?" and bring up Boy George. Interviewers need to do their homework and also go with the flow of what the band members are saying.

Burns appeared to be particularly contemptuous and haughty with Japanese interviewers.

Because there was a fashion scene in dance clubs in Britain at the time called New Romantic. Burns has claimed his interest in female fashion predates even the punk scene there.
