Thanks, Davin! The property looks great after you completed the task! The owners should build a little sturdy bridge or two over the ditch for access.

I do love watching that machine eat. It seems you have slowed down just a little bit and it doesn't bog down as bad. It really does a great job. It's fun to watch you grind trees right down to the stump. It is like having a mulcher and stump grinder in one unit. See you in the next one.

I think the TMC recovers a lot better since I’ve watched you running it than the Prinot, and Prinot is not sending you to Spain either! lol 😂 good luck on your trip and have a safe flight! I know Chris (Letsdig18) just bought his TMC and he loves it once he got some time running the mulcher!

This model is the TWF180 which has a 70” cutting width. We also offer a TWF150 which has a 60” working width. Really the width is dependent on personal preference and application.

I can sympathize with you as I underwent Marine Corp boot camp at Parris Island S.C. in 1965,then went on to Canp Geiger, and then CLJ where I drank the water that was used too kill hundreds of us ,more so than we did in war during Vietnam.

That ditch looks small enough that, if you have your mini ex with a bucket, maybe drop some large logs in the ditch to give you something to drive over. You just have to take them out before any heavy rains, to let the water flow. But that would get you across so you can mulch, then cross back when you are done.
@kirk467
@kirk467 7 ай бұрын
You would have to drop a few trees to fill in the ditch and do the work and clean the ditch out when you’re done! I’ve seen Letsdig18 do it to gain access to the other side of the ditch! Just a thought brother! Thanks for sharing Davon! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Seems like to me, mulching will eventually enrich the soil once that mulch rots. Like a mulch pile at your home produces good soil.

One question ,could there be machine big enought to vacuum up the left over mulch and bag it for sale ,so many could buy a hundred bags at seventy five cent a bag ,but it needs to be big enough to finish chopping it too garden size mulch . I believe it could be quite profitable if done so correctly.

Quick question, when you are mulching a lot of pines like that does the sap cause any issues?

If I was the land owner, I would be pissed about cutting all those pine trees. That is money in the bank.
@idigit4967
@idigit4967 6 ай бұрын
Actually no it is not money. Those pines are volunteer pines, not planted and since they are so close together and dense they will choke each other out and over compete for nutrients and never become good timber trees, probably not even pulp trees either. If you wanted timber these trees would have to be mulched down and new trees replanted properly.

@countrytxrose

I agree why not use those dead trees that size for fire wood.
@E.Meyers
@E.Meyers 7 ай бұрын
Extra time, no storage, hauling expense…lots of reasons. Easy to say from your side of the screen but the reality boils down to time and money as it takes a year to dry out the wood. Plus you don’t burn any type of pine trees in a fireplace because of the sap. In his area the winters are milder than most northern states so the demand fore firewood is low. Most fireplace wood burning in his state would be for aesthetics, not for basic heating.

Hi DJ. One question keeps coming up for me on these clearing projects, does anyone ever consider the environmental impacts of all this loss of greenery?? I know this is your job and all, but are your customers cognizant of what the loss of all the trees and bushes you take down on a weekly basis? Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but I thought I'd ask in any case.

Friend of mine does this maybe not on such a grand scale but his biggest projects have been for expansions on farm land (greenhouse additions) , power line right of ways, and highway wild animal migration lanes for tunnels leading under the highways. Small jobs he says is almost always upcoming beautification projects for their yards.
