" which is what personally many people say about anything even as little as burning your finger or cutting it on paper. A singer like Fiona Apple, a factually proven rape survivor would have driven that song into the hearts of many because she has more vocal qualities that she could have used especially in her prime. Even now she could, her voice has gotten a lot smokier - dark - tainted and grim. I think its also that these people talking about her in the video are individuals that see other celebs in a different light. So when an artist who is so multi-faceted, so focused, and in control of where she wants her career to go, it makes her stand out from the rest. We live in a technological driven world where people seem to have a shortened attention span and are quick to make judgements and such. They don't often take the time (especially in pop music) to actually try to understand the identity of the artist in question.
