International law states that the waters that are declared as international waters are subject to fewer laws and as such self defense and protection of ones property cannot be violated and can be enforced by the captain of the vessel which includes deadly force

One of the many questions that leads me to believe this entire thing was staged. Many different bits of footage, clipped, cut, edited and spliced together to manufacturer a more compelling crisis scenario. There’s something about those radar return images and radio dialogues that feel…artificial.

There might be an attempt to recover the gear. Those nets are pretty costly to replace. If not, there is still the chance that they might see the episode.

Seas weren’t that rough. Time Bandit was full throttle. Even calm seas will froth over a ship that big running that fast. As soon as Sig got hung up and had to stop, you could see the ocean was relatively calm.
