A nice day out on the jetty with Brook and some friends. The amount of birds that were at the inlet was insane! Lots of pelicans and seagulls. The bluefish, jacks and mackerel were flying over the rails of the pier all day long!! Hope you enjoy this Catch Clean and Cook!

I've had other BPM baits kzfaq.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!

Spanish Mackerel is my favorite fish for making ceviche, just scrape the meat with a fork, add some lime juice, salt, pepper, mix with grated carrot, tiny cubes of red onion, thin cucumber slices, and serve up all of the mix on a crispy corn tortillas. Enjoy! Greetings from Nayarit, Mexico!

I'm from Ny.. My grandfather has been taking my lil brother and I fishing since I was 11 years old. Canarsie pier, sheepshead bay, and Rockaway cross bay Blvd. We're use to porgy, flounder, snapper, sea robben and blackfish. Now that I'm grown up with a family of my own, I'm looking forward to traveling to Florida for this excitement.

Smoked fish backs are pretty amazing brushed with a 50/50 mix of Italian dressing and BBQ sauce. Sounds crazy but it is amazing. Also many fish have cheek meat that is almost always forgotten about and it is very good to eat, and has a different taste and texture. Makes for a great appetizer

In Australia those mackerel you caught are called doggie mackerels and are caught at the start of Winter when all mackerels run up the coasts toward New Guinea. when you freeze the fillets you have to leave the skin on other wise the fillets turn into mush. Very good eating fish.

Is it pelican or pelican't. Them Gotcha's really get the job done. You are 100% spot on with the commentary on the life surrounding that area. Nothing like it, quite literally. I've said this before, your culinary skills and creativity definitely give your fishing prowess a run for the money. Until next time, tight lines & good vibes.

It's not a family recipe, but something I've adopted is the use of Indian spices and sauces with my king and dolphin. A real crowd-pleaser so far has been king mackerel korma, with almond slivers and raisins. I cheat and use the Patak's korma sauce from a jar, but you have the skills and the kitchen to make it from scratch if you prefer.

Great video Victor! I love spanish macks. I'll keep the skin on, throw it in a hot pan skin side down to sear for a few minutes and then finish it in the oven on broil to cook through. Then serve it skin up to keep it crispy! Instead of scoring the skin, try leaving it alone and placing a plate on your fillets in the pan to keep them from curling. Only needs to be on there for a minute. Then take if off before you throw the pan in the oven. Works great to keep the skin in contact with the pan. Thank you for the video!

A good recipe is: 1.Get a fish that has not too much bones (whole) 2.Clean the fish, take the scale/guts out 3.Dry the fish with some paper towel 4.Place your fish on a plate where it is big enough to fit the fish and make sure it can fit in a wok, big pan or big pan, make sure it can fit in. (Don't forget to score the fish to get the seasoning in) 5.Place about 2-3 cm of water and start to heat it up and wait for it to boil, while waiting season your fish. 6.Add a little salt, soy sauce, sugar, chilly, sliced ginger, sesame oil, garlic salt and spring onions for topping. 7.Once the water is at a boil, place the fish in the pan or wok, and cover with lid and steam for about 10-15. No longer or else meat will be chewy, not soft! 8.Once time is near, check and try moving the meat of the bone, if no meat is left on the bone, then it should be done. 9.Get a piece of meat and dip it in the sauce. Enjoy ;)

Question on the avocado oil, has it got a neutral flavor? Sorry on the recipes, my family is English and Irish from New England. I find most of what *you* do kind of exotic. I mean garlic? Pretty fast-lane for me, Vik. Nah, more seriously, while I worked in restaurants for a number of years and do know my way around spices and herbs (and garlic), but my presentations are pretty standard western European. But you know, it's still hard to beat a properly done haddock & chips, although since I moved to Florida, I've found that a grilled grouper sandwich gives it a run for its money.

Hey Landshark Outdoors! I love your videos, here's a VERY famous Asian-style way of cooking fish. My family and I use this way of cooking for fishes such as our cod and bream (I live in Australia). It gives the fish a tender yet soft and somehow flaky texture. Search "ginger soy-sauce steamed fish" on Google images, enjoy!
