Deadpool (and Deadpool 2) is a perfect example of what is possible when the studio gets out of the way and lets the artist create. Thank you Ryan Reynolds. 😎

Sadly, this is what happens in nearly every "industry" that is creativity driven. The original artists and idealists create a concept and flesh it out, it becomes successful, those original creators get the boot, then the executives and statisticians step in and compose a formula that they believe those original creators used to make the original so successful and simply regurgitate it over and over - each facsimile worse than the last because all creativity that drove the original is gone. Unfortunately, this still proves to make them money for quite some time before people grow tired of it and turn away. But there is always another to steal waiting in line....

@@joshuaa2278 I wasn't trying to be deep, but I suppose it depends on the level of thinking one is used to. I was simply stating how the "entertainment" industry is run - and what I stated is factual. Very few actual creators end up getting the money or credit they deserve for their efforts. The music industry, the movie industry - they are run on money, not on being original and creative. The creators are very often ripped off for their ideas and the execs take advantage and steal their ideas at every turn. Every once in a while, there is an exception, like Deadpool (we'll see when part three is released now that Disney is involved and it is joining the MCU officially), but in large, what I stated was true. Deny it if you want but there are tons of writers, musicians and production teams that have been run into the ground and robbed blind that would disagree.

In Deadpool, Wade said that he buried cocaine next to the cure for blindness. In this movie, he grabs some cocaine from the floorboards and it's next to the cure for blindness. Also, did you notice that Brad Pitt played The Vanisher? And Ryan Reynolds did the voice for Juggernaut.

A little context to the post credits "just cleaning up the timelines" scene: that's him going back to a scene from X-men Origins: Wolverine, which is one of the worst superhero movies of the past 25 years or so. The movie is especially notorious for how badly they screwed up the character of Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds back then too), with them even having Deadpool's mouth sewn shut so that he couldn't do any of his signature banter. Comic book fans (including Ryan Reynolds himself) were *pissed* and absolutely hated it, especially since at the time it seemed like that would be the only Deadpool we'd ever see on the big screen. And then Ryan Reynolds spent years campaigning to be able to make a movie that did Deadpool right. So that scene is him erasing the mistakes of the studio.

Oh BTW- I am hysterical after hearing your wish to submerge a blonde bimbo beneath hot flowing volcanic magma after that sooooo annoying female protagonist in Temple of Doom got on your nerves. It would've been applauded if midway through the film she was killed off, and now you see how we all felt like back in '88 sitting in the matinee yelling at the movie screen as kids. She's not just an actress who was cast, but she is also the spouse of one of the producers who had been influential in writing her part into the screenplay, with most of her lines being adlibbed with Ford. She was not even an important character in the story but she was the wife of a big whig & that was how she got her way. Almost as annoying in real life as her character is if you look at the way she is even getting screen time with A list actors. You are not a bad person. We all hated the greedy blonde bimbo from the moment she came in singing the lounge act. Off key. 😳

That baby is Hitler, the joke is that if you could travel in time could you kill baby Hitler? and is quite funny.

Apparently there are a lot of cuts of this movie. That scene might not have been in this one.

The great thing about the Deadpool movies is that you don’t need previous knowledge of the X-Men movies or the Deadpool comics or anything to enjoy them. That being said, the more that you know about the comics or X-Men movies, and the more movies you’ve seen in general, the better these movies are. There’s just a ton of references throughout to the X-Men, comics, and popular movies, so the more you know then the more you get the jokes. Really the only things you should know, though the movies get the point across, is that he can’t really die (though it is possible), he heals, and that he knows he’s a comic book character so he’s able to break the 4th wall and be self aware that he’s in a comic/movie, hence all the references to his own movie and other popular media. But like I said, you don’t really need to know any of that to enjoy these movies.

Cable is the Sun of Scott summer and Jean Gray he came from the future obviously from a different timeline than this universe we're both Gene and Scott died but if you look up the comic books you find cable is their son I read up on it and apparently it's supposed to be a clone of Jean Gray it has been a long time since I read it

Jen, you don't "have" to listen to your patreon subscribers. You can continue with the xmen franchise if you like. The only two I'd skip if I were you is Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix, but seeing Logan is definitely necessary. It's an AMAZING film. And your patreon members can skip watching a reaction if they don't like the film (it's what I do with movie reactions).

Well, I suspect each video entails the expense of several work-hours to accomplish, so in order to provide highest value to her paying customers, she'll prioritize their desires above others for whichever project she does.

This movie is good. I like how they did Cable, his real name is Nathan Summers. He is son of Cyclops and a Jean Grey Clone named Madeline Pryor that Mr Sinister created. The Juggernaut in this movie is closer to the comics. He is Xavier’s step brother. He is no mutant though. His powers are magical from the Ruby of Cytorak because he has hate for Xavier. You should watch the X-men animated series to see why.
