Ironically enough, Deadpool had a story arc with Captain America and Wolverine called The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. Definitely worth a look, the whole run is fantastic!

That arc was amazing. I started reading Deadpool with the Gerry Duggan run and it was definitely worth it.

@@Hugme778 Actually, that particular volume when he met her and took on Dracula was pretty good. As was the actual issue where he got married, where it was just a nice ceremony instead of the usual comic book wedding tropes where it’s a big fakeout

#1 Love Tiffs Harbor Patrol hoodie, pushing for the return of that series! #2 I believe Banshee and Tom are cousins and Theresa is Tom's first cousin once removed, but she has a complicated history him and calls him "uncle". #3 I have the first book..which is apparently the ugly one!

As far as future episodes go, I would love to see Sal or more likely Tiffany have Ben & Ethan do a Good, Bad and Ugly of the three Hellfire Galas considering their limited knowledge of the Krakoan Era, especially now that the era seems to be ending with Fall of the House of X/Rise of the Powers of X.

Garrrison Kane is the "Weapon X" guy that Deadpool fought in that issue. "Mr. Tolliver" is actually Cable's son Tyler who was driven crazy by Stryfe. He's also not actually dead... though later he would be killed by Wolverine during his Bone Claw era. Landau, Luckman & Lake is basically the Wolfram & Hart of the Marvel Universe a decade before the Buffyverse was even a thing.

Hey, I had all three of these when they came out. They were all good, but that Joe Kelly run was one of the secret best books of the 90s, especially the climax of the plot that the two mysterious people (the people from Landau, Luckman, and Lake) were talking about, which was I want to say in issue 25.

It's interesting to compare early Joe Mad (The Circle Chase) and early Ed McGuinness (Deadpool #1) artwork. The former being why Ben felt the AoA connection. Personally, I picked up the Joe Kelly run with #2. Which is an amazing Taskmaster story. Lastly, Luckman, Landau and Lake is a convoluted Wolverine thing. An interdimensional law firm. The woman with the goggles is Zoe Culloden, the expediter. Part of Wolverine's ensemble cast around this time.

I have been waiting for this *exact* episode forever. The Deadpool ongoing was my first #1 ever. I was 12 and I was mowing lawns while waiting for each monthly issue. I have been a Deadpool fan ever since, and I have been waiting to hear the gang talk about my childhood comfort book. Please please please do more of this series and keep the GB&U coming!

I'm was always a fan of the second mini-series as it was drawn by Ian Churchill (Cable series regular), one my favorite X-Artists back then but can't go wrong with either of these.

I’m surprised you guys haven’t done a GBU on Ultimate spinoffs. Like an episode where you cover: Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate Fantastic Four and…Ultimate Spider-Man? Maybe the Ultimates? Honestly not sure on that third one. Maybe the third one could be the new Ultimate Spider-Man comic?

I’ve not watched much GBU, but the quality here was great! Not sure if you guys got new camera/set up. But the punch ins, the cuts & of course the decision. Everything felt like it was taken up a notch here. Great work guys :)

Great episode, love GBU, I think it’s pretty well agreed apon that Joe Kelly’s ongoing is one of the best Deadpool things, in general. I haven’t read it myself yet but I’m interested to maybe check it out sometime. I do love the idea of maybe doing episodes on Event Tie In’s, some bad, of course, but there is some really good ones, like the Green Lantern Darkside War issue, or any of the convergence tie-ins. But anything covered on the show is a delight to watch

Copycat in the comics is Deadpool’s one true love, but they are constantly fighting. It’s implied they would have lived happily ever after is Wade never became Deadpool.

I remember while getting into comics picking up the first trade of Deadpool classic which contained these issues, I had no context about what preceded it, but after reading Cable & Deadpool and even Daniel Ways Deadpool, I was surprised to find how consistent Deadpool's continuity was throughout the years. Also, Ian Churchill's art was fantastic

Not sure how feasible this theme would be but what about an opposite episode? Could change the title to The Good, The Great, and The Excellent or just keep it the same and it could be an episode with three random issues that are generally highly regarded and well liked. Again not sure if this is even doable since it's kind of hard to judge just single issues and even harder to find generically good single issues. Might also be tricky since liking a comic can come down to a lot of different factors but just thought it might be a fun one time episode to change things up. Really enjoyed this episode, have definitely been binging GBU recently and always happy to have more.

What would I like to see? Well, if you have not thought of these or done them already: (Naturally, you would have to pick 1 issue for each character/team) Who is the best character with the name Captain Marvel? Mar-Vell, Monica Rambeau or Carol Danvers? Who is the "greatest" Green Lantern!? If that doesn't spark a debate nothing will! lol What team with teenagers is the best? 80's New Mutants, 80's New Teen Titans or 90's New Warriors? Best story with a sorcerer? Dr. Strange, Constantine or ...maybe someone different like Timothy Hunter from The Books of Magic? Best first issue of an indy horror comic: Walking Dead vs. Locke & Key vs. Something is Killing The Children Or whatever books you wanna do, just throwing suggestions out there!

@@TheRealZubes Oh no doubt! But it's just funny there was that kind of intonation on "great friends". As for common observation, it's always been something of a tongue in cheek joke that Cain and Tom have a very special friendship, but when creators who've written the characters (Austen specifically) have out and out said "yes, they are, that was my intent while working on the book", those sorts of jokes suddenly gain a lot more gravity and take on a whole different dimension.
