Dougray Scott was famously supposed to play Wolverine but it conflicted with his MI2 contract so he couldn't do it, opening up the opportunity for Hugh Jackman. so I think he would be a welcome variant

This could just be because I grew up with the Harry Potter films, but I don’t see a situation where I would ever be more excited to see Taron Egerton over Daniel Radcliffe. Honestly I’m just hopeful that both will be in the movie.
