Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show I'm your host Paul and today we're breaking down the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer. Again.
-
So after our big breakdown on the first look yesterday I've gone back over it with fresh eyes and found a couple of things that I wanna talk about more indepth. This includes stuff like the secret wars comic, Pyros return and some of the teases towards the big MCU.
Everyone is doing MCU easter eggs and we've even got Travis out here doing his best Obidiah Stane impression.
-
So come with us fellow purveyor of the multiverse as we try and fill that empty void within ones soul.
Now that takes us into our first location which is the void that we see Deadpool fighting in during the trailer. This is where he comes across Wolverine and it's also where he runs into the 20th century fox logo.
Throughout Loki when we visited the location we saw several items down there that pulled from across time. There were the pyramids, missing ships and even a thanos copter because this is where all things pruned go to die.

Hey! I held my tongue on the first version of the breakdown you sent out because I was sure you were fudging a detail due to time restraints, but you doubled-down by stating again at 4:42 that the bald character "IS ACTUALLY" to be the Female Professor X. My perceivance on the character IMMEDIATELY to me shows it to be Tilda Swinton from Doctor Strange. Same head-shape, similar ear-shape, aswell as even the SAME BLACK COAT WITH LARGE COLLAR as the woman in Doctor Strange had worn. Please look into this. Cheers!

I like to think when Deadpool walks up to what people assume is going to be the backside of Wolverine in a suit is actually just Jim Carey reprising his role as Ace Ventura and then all the sudden Wolverine comes up behind Deadpool. Would be a perfect nonsensical cameo.

Since FOX had three actors for Doctor Doom (Joseph Cult, Julian McMahon and Toby Kebbell), the idea of Doctor Doom making his "MCU debut" in a film about the FOX universe does make sense. The Parliament of Doom could be set up here and Marvel wouldn't have to waste any time explaining their motivations and the post credit scene could be the three variants of Doom sensing out the MCU Doom whose origins could be explain in the Armor Wars film. If Doom is going to be the new main antagonist for Secret Wars, this would be the chance to set that up.

Two potentials: Deadpool recruits MCU quicksilver. Then at a crucial moment when they need his skills he says the obligatory thing like “alright you’re up quicksilver” and he responds “My name is Ralph”. It’s the Fox (Tree) void if it is the void . End of Loki season 2 purpose was to show us the void is at the end of the 616TVA timeline . So the void in Deadpool is simply at the end of the Fox timeline . Let’s not conflate . Take a moment and think .

My theory is that Deadpool will reset timelines, and thus,Marvel Studios can and will recast with younger actors, and this film will explain it to the audience that they are different variants of the characters with the newly cast younger actors.

Remember theyre good at making a movie look worth watching in the trailer. Dont get your hopes up. I dont think we'll see Jackman until probably 3rd act. I think its going to be a form of the Deadpool kills the MCU. I think there will be different Wolverines he has to fight played by other people. I also think he'll have to fight the feral Wolverine.
