I just posted a comment that goes into a bit more detail in "my thoughts". Hopefully it did not come off as critical or negative. I simply pointed out the lack of knowledge most have as well as kudos for starting to stack. Junk/90% is a great way (as well as cost effective way) to have fractional. I did however point out that since the average person has no concept a pre-64 quarter is worth .25 cent to them.

My wife said she trusted me when I started stacking. But then we needed money for land she wanted and we paid cash for that land because of selling some of the silver and gold. now she keeps asking if I am going to buy more every payday.

I was deployed and that time had internet. On our down days my friends and I tried our hands in penny stocks and other investments. I ended up buying silver. The guys would send home flowers. My wife got boxes of PM. She was pissed. That is, until I got home and three months later in 2011 the price spiked. I sold most of that stack for double what I bought. Once she saw the check she changed her mind. She still thinks I'm an idiot because that's women for ya, but my only bad investment was the BMW convertible she wanted. Everything else is in the +s.

Bless you for being AAA (Awake And Aware) of all the financial and economic turmoil out there. Stacking REAL money is a great thing. Everyone who *thinks* that they are rich because they have a lot of fiat debt paper will be VERY surprised when that junk goes to ZERO. Most of what I read is from men whose wives don't understand or approve of their stacking. It's good to hear that there are women stackers who have that same issue. Also good to hear that your hubby is finally onboard. Still waiting for my wife to see the value inherent in gold and silver. I guess that it will take some sort of financial or economic disaster before it finally becomes clear to her.

@@cultleader3572 not entirely, remember people buy treasury bonds to hold as reserves and when they sell them back, as many countries have already slowed down purchasing them, if they quit buying them, or, again, sell them back, that will send many more dollars back here. Most of the paper dollars went overseas because if you didn't know, the banks the credit card companies and the Federal Reserve just type them into existence which means the banks inflate the currency supply even further but that paper isn't trackable and if it ends up in the public square, inflation will go up so much faster. That's excluding any digital dollar that comes back here because then you can see it Rising more exponentially

@@0my I follow a whole lot of different types of subs, this one is probably from a financial-type of sub (as opposed to a metals sub). But yeah... those BRICS Nations are making one-on-one deals for petrol and it's lower than it is here. Some of it also has to do with the favorability one Nation would have with the other as opposed to some sort of flat one price for all-type system, some of it is tied to arms deal between nations etc etc

It didn't COST you anything. You converted your Casino money (USD) into Silver/Gold.. the most universal, and liquid MONEY that ever existed. if you change your mind, you can always convert it back into fiat money, and provided you don't do that immediately.. you will get more fiat money when you do. Silver and Gold doesn't Inflate..fiat money does.

I'm a wife that is remarried with separate bank accounts. In 2017 i bought my first purchase of silver & gold, locked it up at home and didn't say a word. Later when things in this country were changing, i told him what i did and how we should put our hard earned money into PM. So now we have all our savings stashed away. Glad he listened to me. His brother said he wish he had the money to buy some. Oh, i still have a secret stash.😊

My wife likes to spend money. When I buy Silver/Gold, it's no longer in the checking account, and she doesn't spend it. She has no idea how large the stack has become, but she knows it's there. She doesn't follow politics, BRICS, metals, etc.. when I try to tell her about it, she has no interest those things. I even gave Silver rounds for Christmas presents because it's easy to get and give out instead of shopping around for each person. One day, I hope they will thank me for it.. lol

Yea I guess most of us can get heat from our partners over stacking before we convince them that "money" (currency) isn't money at all and "buying" precious metals isn't spending away all of our "money"-- it's converting it to a much less volatile form of wealth that will likely outlive current civilisation as we know it. With CBDC introduction on the horizon here in Europe, and the petrodollar collapse in the US, spreading the stacking message is all the more crucial.

I’m so lucky that my wife buys me silver and goes to garage sales and buys jewelry and coins. Just bought a bag of costume jewelry with 4 14k rings 1 silver eagle 4 silver quarters and 2 silver dimes and paid a whopping $5, because she knows what to look for and what to ask for. We also buy scrap jewelry and pay very fair when we ask for it. But if something is out we just pay what they want if the price is right.

@@go4it129 It all depends on the Coin Shop Owner, I have been blessed to meet Awesome Coin Dealers that don’t charge me any Sale’s Tax on my Precious Metals. They just tell me don’t say Anything & they only take cash & it makes the purchasing easy no paper trail. I have gone to couple new coin shops that charge sale tax on precious metals, I just don’t buy rather keep my money & go somewhere else. They key is to buy lowest as possible.

@@lannydante9390 My son spent 4 years in the USMC, 1993-1997. When he went out with his buddies, they would swill away all of their pay on beer. My son would have 1 rum and coke and that was it. That's why when he got out after 4 years, he had $8,000 in his Navy Federal CU account and most of his buddies had to have their folks send them bus ticket money. Choices. Life is ALL about making good choices.

question: when someone asks Tim for example "I'd like to SWAP these silver bars for some gold buffalos", is there any economical convenience in the fact of "swapping" or Tim just basically buys that silver at the same price he would usually buy it and sells that gold at the same price he would usually sell it, just all in one go?

In Australia, 1oz spot was up at $48.50. I'd already swapped most of my silver for gold. I got worried that it was finally going to go way up so I borrowed 5k from my mother and dumped it on silver. I still haven't told my wife :/ haha.

He's right to stick with small increments. The smaller the increment of Silver you buy, the larger your universe of possible buyers, and there isn't anything that 10 Eagles or 10 Silver rounds can't accomplish for you that a large 10 ounce bar can. You should avoid anything that is above 1 ounce, if possible, despite the small savings you might achieve in the per ounce category.

I'd be fine with a small portion being 10 ounce bars, but unless I was a multimillionaire stacking millions, I wouldn't go larger. Now, if I WAS somehow blessed with millions, I'd put some of it into the 1000 oz silver bars (and no bigger than 10 ounce gold bars), for larger purchases, store of value, and ease. What a wonderful, and completely impossible, fantasy.

My daughter graduated from MMA, top ten in her class. Was awarded with a solid brass table clock at the graduation ceremony in 2017. Today she owns 2 houses and makes more money than my wife and I together. MMA is a great school and she thanks me all the time for guiding her in that direction. I give both of my kids silver for birthdays and Christmas. Stack on!!
