I was in third grade when the principal came in the afternoon and whispered in our teachers ear that President Kennedy was assassinated. Then I had my piano lesson after school, and my teacher had a special edition of the newspaper that had come out. The whole front page was a huge black and white photograph of the car and Jackie in her bloody dress. Then we watched TV coverage for the next several days and watched live right as Ruby shot Oswald. It will be etched in my brain always. Even though I was raised in a household of the other political party, my parents were devastated, and everyone was devastated no matter what political party they belonged to. Sadly, that probably would not be the case today. My parents bought me a special book (The Torch is Passed), with photographs and descriptions of the whole historical event, which I’ve kept always. Thank you for this great tour. I really enjoy your historical tours, it takes me there, as I may never have the opportunity to visit some of these places. I generally agree with you about what might have really happened.

Thank you for your comment. Not sure why KZfaq held it for review, but with my reply, it should post now. And yes, regardless of political party, it is a tragic even when something like this occurs. I wasn't born then, so even though President Kennedy was not of my political party, I honestly do not know much about him as a President, other than what I've been told. But nothing like what occured that day, should ever occur. So glad you enjoyed the video.

I went there about almost 30 years ago. It was a surreal place to visit.

I agree with you. I wasn't born yet either but from what all I've heard I think there's more to the story.

Honestly I'm glad you made this video. I've gone back and forth with what may or may not have happened that day. I would recommend watching a documentary called JFK: The Smoking Gun. It adds and totally new perspective on the entire event.

Thank you. I'll have to check that out. I have become really interested in this topic all of a sudden, likely because of our visiting the area and seeing it for ourselves.

It will always be a mystery. I was a junior in high school and was in history class. The teacher had gone to the principal’s office for something. He came back and told us the president had been shot and he had asked them to put the radio through the intercom for us. It was living history. Everyone was in shock. It hadn’t been announced that JFK was dead. We went to assembly after that like we always did at the end of the day on Friday. The principal announced what had happened and that the president was dead. It was the first time that everyone else had heard it. We were dismissed. I cried all the way home. All we did for 4 days was watch TV. I saw Ruby shoot Oswald. Such an emotional weekend.

Thank you so much for sharing your personal experience. It's great to hear it from the perspective of someone who lived it, and who remembers it. And it's like I said in the video...People who remember the event, will remember exactly where they were when they heard it. And in your case, you distinctly remember being in school. You also remember lots of details, which shows what an emotional time this was. Thank you again for sharing.

Yet...things like the Oswald 'shooting' can be staged. In fact the entire thing could've been, all a GINORMOUS hoax, lol. The controllers are really sneaky. But, I'm a truther. I think we've been lied to all our lives about most everything.

I remember where I was on that day. I was at school in the fourth grade. I have always thought that there was another shooter. To pull that shot off with a 6.5 Carcano rifle Oswald would had to have been a pretty amazing marksman. Plus, from some of the videos I have seen the ballistics information doesn't support the shot coming from that angle. I'm not sure if we will ever know exactly what happened.

I agree with you. We will probably never know for sure. But I just do not buy that the kill shot came from that window, from Lee Harvey Oswald. I don't even see how that would be possible.

We were stationed in Fort Knox Ky at the time and I was in the 2nd grade. I remember our neighbor came running over to our house telling Mom to turn on our TV! (old black and white) It was Dreadful day in our History! I believe there was another shooter as well and agree with you on the angle of the kill shot! I have a theory on who was behind it. However, I will keep that to myself!😥😥😥

I completely agree. The idea of Oswald acting alone, and the angle of the shot, just doesn't seem possible.

Such a sad day in our history when Kennedy was shot. By the way have you heard today who RFK JR. says killed his uncle ? Didn't want to mention here who he said was more than likely responsible.

I was 4 years old when it happened. I remember my mom had it on tv while getting ready for work. Don't remember ever detail then but through the years since I feel it was a big cover up but I won't go into it without going to political. No I don't believe Oswald killed him but was involved.

I fully agree. I do not deny Oswald's involvement, but I just don't think he fired the "kill" shot.
