Putting bedding near the neighbor's stand is not a great strategy for morning hunts. If the neighbor has any knowledge whatsoever, he gets in the stand well before shooting light and kills your target buck on the way back to his bed.

That greatly depends on time of year and the day. Big bucks will more often than not get to there bed way b4 ppl get to there stand in the morning, which means they are bedded b4 shooting light. You'd often have to wait til the rut for that strategy to work and the big target buck if the other guy has a better property will be shot well b4 then
