I'm pretty sure since this video was made it was announced that Dean Zelinsky original owner and creator of Dean guitars has taken over the Dimebag Darrell signature series. And anybody that does not know the Dean Z guitars are ridiculously high quality.

Im Chris Fitzgerald ive been playing dean guitars since 1998 and know few people at armadillo and trust me Dean is far from done they are reorganizing and redoing few models oh the regular ml body shape isnt going anywhere dime guitars do own the razorback and stealth models, but not ml

Bought a lawsuit Dean V "Black Gold" recently. I'm going to hang on to it for a few reasons. 1, it's awesome and I use it as my B standard guitar. 2, it can only become more valuable now.

With new players like Solar in the game and losing Dime guitars going to be really tough to dig themselves out. Metal guitars is more competitive now than ever.

I did, after waiting 8 months, and I returned it same day. Extremely let down. I took delivery of a super plain top and the neck didn't even feel like a "v" shape compared to my Dean from Hell. It was a sad day. I did however built an ML from a Leo Jaymz kit and am really happy with it. I replaced the tuners, bridge pickup, bridge saddles, nut, and trem arm, total build around $300usd. It was fun.

I'm sort of inclined to believe that THE Dean Zelinsky, will get rights back from certain models and the V headstock. I really hope he does tbh.

This sucks. To hand a legendary business like dean guitars- endorsed by THE Dave Mustaine and THE Dimebag Darrell- down to your son only for it to be thrown in the dumpster, double coated in cow manure, and pissed on by drunk passers-by just sucks. I know Elliot was probably a great father and clearly didn't have a say in who he'd give the company to (he passed away), but it still sucks.

Did you see the Gibson/ Dean comparisons!? That’s why I own 7 deans and 0 Gibson. Gibson was just mad that Dean was doing it better for less money

Yes that exactly why Gibson sued, they were scared of Dean guitars taking their sales... I'm happy with Dean guitars over Gibson any day !

I’m a huge Pantera fan, but I’m going to be honest - Dean guitars have the worst neck I’ve ever played on. And I bought a Luna and had to file down the fret ends myself. I think it’s cool and iconic but they don’t make a good product anymore

@@isopropyltoxicity absolutely. The neck is like a baseball bat on some of those. Very uncomfortable for me, but that’s what he shredded on lol. My newest guitar is a Fender tele fmt hh. So it’s got the c shape neck pretty thick for modern standards, and I have no issues with that. (Try one of those out for real)

@@Augrillsmmmm did you try the V shape neck? Those things are slimmer than a 60s slim taper neck.

I have owned many Dean's and I have to disagree. Their custom shop is stellar.
