I instantly fell in love with his voice.

I saw Dean Ray perform tonight with Karice Eden and he was freaking amazing .. electrifying .. and has an awesome stage presence .. watch this space .. his star is a risiN … fantastic performer ..

I think the one thing that stands out to me (other than I just fall in love with him every time I watch this) is how humble he is. After he rips up the stage and almost seems to go into a different state while performing he looks up as if he just came back to the planet. His smile is infectious and that look is like a bright eyed kid at Christmas that just got a new puppy.

Still watching this at 2020, and Dannii is right - best audition ever. X Factor Australia 2014 became The Dean Ray Show....

Dean was already well refined before X Factor at age 22 which is mind boggling. The judges couldn't teach him anything more. He was just there to sky rocket his career.

I just don't get why people keep saying he's unlikeable. I didn't intend to watch X Factor this year but He and Reigan changed that. I LIKE HIM!!! He's _extremely_ likeable to me!

Dean's definitely got the X-Factor!! He's original, authentic and charismatic! Combine all of that with excellent guitar skills and musicianship and good strong vocals, and you have someone with a promising chance of success in this show and in the music/entertainment industry!!

these judges really knows how to appreciate talent... they return the feeling to the contestants...it makes you feel good when you see them stand on the table like that...

He had no idea how good he was. Amazing. He turned an old American song that few people know into something totally modern and totally electrifying. He rocked the stage. And then what he does to Coldplay's "Yellow" in Bootcamp is even more incredible. He transformed that song into something spectacular.

Interesting and charismatic guy...rather like a combination of Elvis Presley and Jim Morrison. At first I thought he was full of himself, but he seemed genuinely surprised to get the positive reactions from the crowd, and very appreciative of the judges' comments. That did it for me. He's a cutie who definitely can play and has great stage presence. I'm anxious to REALLY hear his voice!

I've seen him live twice both times amazing, he play guitar like a freak, just amazing at it, unbelievably crazy at guitar, shreds!! and then he has a beautiful, unusual goose bump worthy voice :) brilliant :) :) this audition is one to remember forever!!!!
