I'm a black American man and a Army combat veteran and this song reminds me of a special woman I could talk to about anything and I lost contact with her an somehow she found me on Facebook and I was extremely warm hearted and it led to marriage. We are still together after all these years and she told me whenever she heard this song she cries and love me more! Awesome song

I met this girl through a wrong number I had called. I was trying to call my buddy Bob and ended up talking to this girl. We talked for hours and days passed and I forgot to get that girls number. One day out of the blue the phone rang, it was the girl I had talked to for hours a few days ago. This time I was smart enough to get her number............That was 43 years ago, two children and five grand children and all because of a wrong number! I don't know if it was fate but I'm sure glad it happened and I love her more every day, she can bring sunshine on the gloomiest of days and the happiness she brings me is unbelievable.

My mom use to sing this weekly down at the Fort Worth Stockyards rodeo. She sang the national anthem and intermission shows. I still have vivid memories of going weekly to watch her when I was little, probably circa 2005. I continued to listen to this song growing up and still do weekly. I even had a dance with somebody I fell in love with to this song. It has multiple meanings for me.

The first time I heard this song and every time after, it reminded me of when I was 15. That summer I met the love of my life. Years went by and we drifted apart and moved on with our lives. 45 years went by and we found each other again on Facebook. Now we're back together! We are 60 and 61 years old now. This came out when I was a teenager. Oh, wow. The memories! This was MY song when I was 17. That's when I met my first love. But then after sharing the summer together he had to leave for bootcamp :( He became a Marine and faded from my life, but not from my heart. Fate is a funny thing. An amazing thing actually :) 7 years later I ran across him on Facebook, found out he had just finished his 6 years with the Marines and was living back in the area. So I invited him over for the 4th of July, and he hasn't left my side since. The rest is history. It's been 9 years now since that 4th of July when he came back into my life. And now 5 years since the 4th of July when we said "I do" and I became his wife :) I remember when I would hear this song during those 7 years we were apart, and my thoughts ALWAYS went to him. The one who got away. Listening to it now I can't believe how things have ended up. I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Still love the song and the meaning behind it, but it doesn't make me sad anymore :) Couldn't be more grateful for the soulmate God made just for me.

My 11yr old daughter asked me, "Is wine only made with grapes?" And I answered, "No, you can actually make wine out of a lot of different fruit, like strawberries." (I was eating strawberries) Then this song came to mind and with it a flood of memories of times past. So I played it for my daughters and we had a nice talk about the lyrics and summer crushes. They're still too young to quite understand, so I drew a line between this and an episode of Bluey called Camping and everything fell into place. It's been decades since I've heard this song, but it's funny how a sound or smell can bring back a lot of fond memories. Of being young and just living in the moment.

That is the most amazing story, not just the story but the way you write it by how you say it. I'm in tears because that kind of love doesnt happen but by chance, fait, or destiny, if you will. We all want that so much that's what we all are seeking or hoping for right!?!!! I pray that everyone might, or could experience that in this world, or lifetime but then it wouldn't be considered such a beautiful thing if we all had that kind of love, then I think it would just be Heaven then, at that magical moment, right up into eternity.❤❤❤ Much love to you and yours, God bless❤

I remember when I was around 6 my soon to be stepmom and I were driving to the wedding spot at Tahoe. I was nervous to let someone new into my life. This song came on in the car and we sang together. I knew as soon as the chorus hit for the final time that it would be alright. To this day my stepmom is one of the best friends I have. She taught me how to be a good person. When my wedding day comes I’m gonna drive up there with her and sing it again 😊

This song reminds me of a property we had when I was a kid. Farm life, riding bikes through the old back dirt roads, the smell of the soul when the corn fields were being turned over.... That land is now lost and when I last drive by I couldn't believe.. it was all grown over. It's crazy how moments you don't put much thought into becomes the most cherished memories..

19 years ago I gave my number to my now husband on the back on my receipt . He was a cashier at seven eleven I would visit almost every day on my way to work. He would always flirt with me and give me free coffee in the morning. Yet he never made the first move. So I took a chance. A week later our first date almost never happened. I couldn't get a babysitter so instead of drinks at the bar our date was changed to dinner at McDonalds so my daughters could go too. This year will us being together for twenty years. With 5 children and now 3 grandchildren and I am still madly in love with him.

Every year on our anniversary I drive out to where we got married and listen to this song until I have no tears left to cry.

Sorry it's taken me a half a year to come across your message. Listen, it's fun becoming intimate with someone and falling in love. Humans were designed for one or multiple of these experiences in a life time. Quit blaming yourself for your mistakes mate, maybe you did make them. But they aren't who you are. And when your parents raised you as a baby and put love into you and watched you grow they didn't intend for you to hit a road block in your life and lose love and joy forever. Take some new road trips. Put yourself out there. You don't have to forget about your first marriage but mate, you gotta open your eyes and realize there's still lots out there for you to try to learn to know, become intimate and love again. Life SHOULD be about love. Regardless of any errors or mistakes you made, start fresh, don't look back, don't waste life. Good luck buddy, don't beat yourself up.

Several years later I began acting single. Lost my wife, my daughter and my wife's fantastic family. Coming up on 40 years since our divorce and I miss her dearly. I will add though, I have been fortunate enough to find the second love of my life. We have been married 20 years and I love her more each and every day!

Strawberry wine, reminds me of my mother watching her grow into a beautiful woman throughout my 21 years of life. She just turned 18 when I was born, my pops wasn't around til I turned 18, but it reminds me of their love and why they hit it off, he's American were Canadian. Those memories, she'd clean up for me and my brothers, for many nights we spent until i was 16, she'd play this song often, hold me tight and sing, and reminisce me as a toddler, at age 9. Much love for my mother, I get music from her. By the way I'm her eldest child and her only daughter so it's very special to me(:
