RIP Benzee ❤️🐾 (2011-2022)
Benzee was our 11-year-old Doberman-Shepherd. With all the traveling and studies, I was away from her for almost 3 years. While she is definitely aging gracefully, her love still remains the same.
Dear Benzee, this poem is dedicated to you.
Dear Benzee,
I’m sure you understand me yet choose to ignore
because, for you, I’ve always been a sibling who does nothing but bore
I still remember the day you became a part of our family.
You were furry, tiny and an absolute cutie,
Marking your new territory with trails of pee & poopie.
You were crying because,
You were 24 days old, away from your mummy
We had to buy a feeding bottle to fill up your tummy
Time zoomed, with all the play and cuddles, I felt I won the lotto
The cute little pupper turned into a naughty doggo
Except for medicines, you happily chewed everything
Furniture, shoes…and damn, even mummy’s favorite ring
What was more sharper : your teeth or your naughty brain
I feel the gardner envied the holes you dug,
Inspite of all the fancy toys, water hose was the best toy for tug
Fun car rides, biscuits in exchange for clicks
We love you very much inspite of not doing any tricks.
Its crazy to think that
We made our own language, with words like “tutti and mumum”
I am glad that you never ask “where the heck do these word come from”
Detesting bath, giving me tattoos, so much I can talk
Yeah, don't worry, I know it's time for your evening walk
Biology will argue you are not part of us,
But we ignore it this time, to save all the fuss.
We love you so much Benzee
Mummy plays with you even when she is sick,
Daddy takes you for late night walks, without making it quick
Yep, I agree, we got a lovely family, it's a big flex,
Hey, do you remember watching the shows of “Hudson & Rex”?
A decade passed since you came into our lives,
The Youthful doggo has turned into a docile woofer,
Your love for us could not be more purer.
They said you are not a pure breed
Droopy right ear, not so bushy tail, but I like em all,
I told them firmly “That’s what makes eBenzee unique, y’all”
You Taught me many things,
Hold no grudges, show when you are happy, and the best advice
Avoid biting when just a growl would suffice.

for looking after mummy and daddy when I am away,
What you do is something that even money can’t pay.
We play, we fight, that’s what siblings do…
But I hope deep down you know, that my love for you is true.
