I loved how much detail was given to Charlie's pronouns because we can interpret how the characters viewed them. Throughout the whole film June was always the one the who corrected everyone when they misgendered Charlie or call them by the wrong pronouns,it really shows us how much she loved them and put an effort in correcting everyone whenever they used the wrong pronouns for Charlie. When Madeleine first appeared she used the wrong pronouns for Charlie but immediately apologized and never made that mistake again which shows us that she is a good friend who cares for them and is trying. Ella is really invested in this drama but she always uses the correct pronouns for Charlie and calls both June and Theo out for their wrongs. AJ uses the correct pronouns for them, to him Charlie is a total stranger and he says that he feels "like a guy asking a girl out" to which Theo corrects him that they're not a girl,which he understands but gets more confused when Theo says that Charlie is "probably bi like most girls". Theo mostly uses the correct pronouns throughout the film in order to sound inclusive and supportive but the more he realizes that he is in love with Charlie the more he slips up and starts projecting his "straightness" on them. In the scene where AJ says that Charlie is gay he gets defensive really quick and says that they're "probably bi like other girls" , if he didn't want to assume that they're gay he shouldn't have assumed that they were attracted to men or bi either,it can really make one wonder,maybe it's because his subconscious knew that he was in love with them and wanted to keep his hopes high. When he says "probably bi like other girls" he misgenders them. I think this the scene where he first starts slipping and projecting. This was the scene when I knew what was going to happen in the end(I'm quite good at predicting plots). During his last appearance he used she/her pronouns on Charlie and in that scene he has fully projected his "straightness" onto them. No matter what your gender is if you're in love(romantic or sexual love) with an enby person and you truly respect and acknowledge them as a non-binary person,you're not straight ,you're queer. You can't change someone's gender to fit into your sexuality because your sexuality is who you're attracted to. Also what's up with the straggots and cissies flooding the comment section of a QUEER short film. If ya'll don't know english just say that, and I'm saying that as an non-native english speaker who's not even in hs yet. Like why are you even watching a QUEER short film with a TRANS main lead if you're going to be transphobic.

That's Theo's last plan to make them get back together....? ;) Amazing screenplay, dialogues and acting. I love it. Hats off to creaters.

I've watched a lot of short films but this was definitely different. Acting, script, that they/them pronouns... I loved that all. And I never been bored watching it.

HSUEHEUS the plot twist. I'm so in love with this short film, are you guys planning on making more in the future? I once made my own movies but never published it, i know it takes alot of work BUT THE RESULTT MWAH AAHSHB AND THE ACTING IS SOO GOOD

Oh my god. That was one of the best things I’ve ever watched. The acting was great, Charlie is so sweet, June is so loving and mysterious, the ending was a cliffhanger. I loved this so much. Also like June is rlly hot lol

For me I love the stories with these type of shorts but it's clear they don't know how else to write cis male characters other than creepy. All the girls in n this short showed some degree of obsessiveness and self centred behaviour yet the one portrayed as unhinged is the only one with empathy and altruistic intentions because the story was not showing cis men in a bad enough way until the end. Inner anger is rarely hidden by writers unfortunately.

The ending of this short film movie is so mysterious, I kept wondering how did she knows that she didn't cheat, and why didn't she said something about it. Plus why did they always said them when its her, it's one person, it's very confusing. These questions kept wondering in my head lol, anyway this short film is very interested, I did enjoy watching it, I wish their were part part 2 for this short film, also you guy's were great actors, well done great job, you did amazing. 💛👏💛

The character is most likely non-binary. They aren't a girl and they use they/them pronouns.

They kept referring to Charlie as "they" because Charlie's pronouns are they/them, they feel comfortable with those pronouns.

Not always. Ex: Someone left their umbrella here. I wonder if they will come back for it. They/them is being used as a singular pronoun. Sometimes people will apply this to themselves if they don’t associate with your typical he or she pronouns

@@darknessindawn I’m saying you don’t know who left the umbrella. It could be a boy or a girl. So you don’t use either. “Someone left his/her umbrella here. I wonder if he/she will come back for it,” is not practical, especially when spoken allowed, so instead we use they/them singular. I do see the possible confusion for a non native speaker, but hopefully what I’m saying makes sense

I really dislike the whole they them pronoun thing. Totally confusing. Why did someone have to pick that as a pronoun instead of anything else. Sounds like they are talking about more than one person everytime. Is that what it is? Like an identity crisis and they think they are more than one person? Certainly seems that way.

it’s not confusing, you’re just not trying to understand. if you’d like, i can link some articles that explain they/them pronouns and how to use them.
