Song was written about Prudence Farrow, Mia Farrow's sister. The Beatles and the Farrow's were all at the same ashram in India for a few weeks, and Prudence wasn't interested in coming out of her tent and socializing.

Yes these two gals can sing. Have always liked this John Lennon song, even though credited to Lennon-McCartney, since hearing The White Album however being an Aussie I prefer the Doug Parkinson version. ❤️🤘🎸🇦🇺

Morgan's husband has a bad habit of slapping his strings, he needs to lighten up on the pressure a bit. (or cut it out altogether.) He also loves to play a resonator guitar a lot, and that's a dirty sound as well.

I prefer hearing the version by Australian Doug Parkinson sing Dear Prudence with a heavy gravel type voice. These girls can sing, but maybe it was the light echoing sound of the girls voices that didn't convince me for this song. So if I heard this correctly, Ginger thought Dear Prudence was irredeemable but maybe Haley and Morgan could redeem it? I guess that clarifies her dislike of the Beatles in no uncertain terms.

@@MikeandGinger I suppose but had you been around in the mid-60s you might have felt differently. Personally, I was more into jazz and blues at the time, but damn if they weren't different. I did see them, and if my memory serves me, it was the first concert I ever went to (took my little sister & her friends) and I honestly can say it was one of the worse concerts I ever witnesses between the billions of screaming little girls and the heinous acoustics in Cleveland Stadium. But it wasn't because of the music composition. Rubber Soul was probably the first album of theirs where I really started to appreciate their musical genius of the time .

Talk about amazing talent. I've never seen this before. Ginger, I am mortaly wounded by your disliking of The Beatles, lol. I love the Beatles a lot. But you're entitled to your opinion. You should check them out sometime. They have some really fun songs, like Rocky Raccoon, O Bladi O Blada for example. I love watching you two react. Keep putting them out and I'll keep watching. I agree with you on Beatles, so overated. This song by Hailey and Morgan though is MONEY! Gives me chill even though I've heard it hundreds of times. Thanks for your review.

I'm not a big fan of the original song, I didn't care at all for the guitar accompaniment, but these two ladies are so good they made something beautiful out of it anyway. Both these ladies have shown that they can sing just about anything well.

Wow, I always thought that I was the only one that doesn't care for the Beatles. I do appreciate their songwriting and tend to like cover versions of their songs but something about the Beatles voices just grates like fingers on a chalkboard.

How do you know you don’t care for the Beatles if you’ve never listened? Do you honestly think one of the most universally loved bands worldwide of all time isn’t worth exploring BEFORE having an opinion? Do you judge people like that too? Without knowing them at all? And then your redeem a Beatles song comment kinda left me like, ya know, you just come off like a real judgy person. That comment made me not bother watching your reaction. And click do not recommend page. Insulting something billions of people love is like…insulting billions of people. But you’re just SOOOO cool n above such things as a great, widely loved band. Cool. See how much support that garners for your page 😂

I’d have to be dead to have never heard the Beatles. I’ve heard plenty of Beatles. I just don’t like their sound. It is possible to have a different opinion from billions of other people, without it making me a bad person. You’re perfectly happy to judge me without knowing me. Sounds like the judgy person is actually you. Thank you though, for self-filtering yourself out. We try to keep this channel upbeat & friendly.
