when aabria was explaining the concept and function of the letters at the beginning of episode 2, in my head i was like “ugh this is going to be so boring, just monologues and exposition….” but then emily came out fucking swinging and my mouth was agape. then each letter kept getting better. and then RUE BURNING THEIR LETTER TO HOBB??? like i never knew letters could be so dramatic, but i should have known that aabria would use this mechanic to facilitate chaos. i fucking love everyone at this table.

Actually the romance novel originated as hypothetical letters. It was a letter writing guide that started it all.

This series is the first time I have ever heard of a Regency RPG. And ngl, my expectations weren’t that high for this season. But man, I was wrong to underestimate it. Despite the chaos of the table (that I love), the series seems so fluid, and it shows how well thought out D20 was when creating it. I’m so excited for the rest of the season!!!

I was very skeptical of this season when it was announced, as I find Regency types boring generally. But it was yet another Dimension 20 success and the Cousins were a big part of why I loved it, though everyone was excellent in it!
