Dearest Olivia

8 жыл бұрынOne year ago, we met our daughter on this day. It has been an amazing year seeing Olivia change from a serious, cautious girl to one that is constantly smiling, singing and dancing all the time.
It has also been one of my hardest years, watching one of my best friends, Antonette struggle with cancer. When we returned from China, even among her battle with stage 4 cancer- she asked to make this adoption video for Olivia. Antonette wanted the video to be a story that Olivia could watch and remember just how much she was loved and anticipated. This also became my last and most precious gift from my dear friend.
Thank you Eric for helping her finish this video after she went to heaven.

I have watched hundreds of these Chinese adoption videos. I’ve just found yours. What a miracle! I thought I’d never meet adoptive parents more interested in the baby than in shoving a camera in her face for a Kodak moment. You are the parents everybody would wish for!

This was the sweetest video I've seen so far! I love how you eased into it and played with her for a long time first before you picked her up. It breaks my heart when I see people grabbing the kids and kissing them right away. It seems so intrusive and scary.

I've watched a lot of KZfaq adoption videos because they're always so heartwarming and even from a distance (Northern- NYS)....I can feel the love and commitment they send out. But, when I watched yours, there was just something extra involved.....I found myself smiling along with your happiness and I honestly got choked up when you went to Olivias' finding place. I wish you and your beautiful family all good things. It's very early in the morning here but your your joy and devotion to your family, made my day. Thank you for sharing.

I just love watching all those beautiful babies going to loving homes.But there is a little girl from Korea whose adopted mother name was Sara or maybe the Little girl she was adorable.The Little one was taken care of for 14 months by foster mother,this little one danced and modeled her dress. Ihave not been able to find any more information she was a little doll!

@@connieedwards4257 me too!! I wish more parents would spend the time getting to know their child’s native language. Even if it is the basics.. so many have a wait of years.. I’m sure being able to understand your new parents would be soothing to the babies

olivia non si aspettava d avere fratelli, quando la mamma la scia per abbracciare l'altra bimba è rimasta li ferma, confusa ed ha cominciato a piangere disperatamente. capisco che la mamma volesse salutare l'altra figlia, ma olivia è appena arrivata e non si aspettava questo, lasciarla li impalata povera creatura, fossi stata la mamma avrei continuato a tenerla in braccio pur salutando gli altri figli, lei ha bisogno di sicurezza e cosi si è sentita messa da parte

agree, she cryerd when mommy left her to hug the other child, she stand there criyng and confused, i would not lef her in that moment i would keep hold her

@@francescaSmakeupandmoreI noticed that too; she felt left out. She’s like, I have to share my new mom and dad now? I would’ve held onto her also, while hugging the other children. Felt so bad for her in that moment but I think they soothed her cries.

What I did not like was when you was greeting your other children in your home you left Olivia crying you just looked at her and ignored her she didn't know what was going on.
