No respect for the man nor his 'accomplishments'. No redeeming value in someone who does that to a child. He tried to normalize it to her. He messed up her head and the other stuff too.

“Twelve Thirty” was one of John’s most beautiful creations. Hauntingly bittersweet. He was a brilliant songwriter. Too bad years of hard drugs stole his humanity. His music will live on.

Mama Cass and Denny where the two best singers that really helped established the band. Denny sings much of the song , California Dreaming. As others have said, Mama Cass really was one of the main talents of the group. They debated about having her in the group, due to her weight. Denny was from Canada.

Now let me tell you my encounter with John Phillips! When he was sick and out of Desert Hospital, I was working for a home health agency in which he was a patient of ours. I was the Receptionist! The phone rang, I answered, a voice comes on the phone and says Candy this is John Phillips! Do you know who I am? I said yes and starting singing Monday, Monday! He was laughing! I have a very young sounding voice so probably didn’t think I knew who he was! He called several times after that and was always very nice calling me by my name! I was very sad upon hearing he had passed !!

I saw a beautiful video that a wife on their wedding day had gotten the beautiful young lady to meet her new husband... Why? Because his brother had recently died and he was an organ donnor & the young lady had gotten her husband's brother's heart. The husband got to use the doctor's thing you listen to hearts with and he heard his brother's heart beating. So....there are still many wonderful folks out there. Hey! Yeah because Polanski was having an affair with Michelle at the time Sharon was killed. He told Sharon he wanted a hippie not a housewife.

@@greendragn Polanski was a weasel, first, last, and always. Sharon Tate should have honored her engagement 'commitment ' to Jay Sebring, she might be alive today. Not much better than Polanski in my book.

Exactly!!! With Jay's taking and selling drugs along with Frykowski and the Billy Doyle thing put Sharon in the firing line and unfortunately paid with her life by hanging around them goons and Abigail Folger too. If only Sharon didn't cancel her overnight stay at Sheila Wells 🤦‍♂️😳💔😢

He was an asshole but there’s no question he was talented as hell. He was the heart of The Mama’s and the Papa’s and the glue that held it together. Not as much of a singer but He wrote all their songs.

Mr. Scott, I don’t know if you’ll ever see this because this video is dated from three years ago. You mentioned that you know Tarantino, the Director of once upon a Time in Hollywood. If you could tell him for me that the ending of his movie touched my heart. I just turned 15 in1969. This now 70year-old woman, time flies. What I am trying to say is that is a murder that affected me to my core and it in a way took my innocence. And after watching the movie and seeing the different ending to the tragedy I cried and cried and cried. Because that’s the way I wish it had ended.😢 The tears and the movie were very therapeutic. I know this sounds crazy. But when something so tragic happens and you observe it such a young age it’s scary as shit. Again tell him thank you❤🙏🙏🙏 so much❤️

Wasn't that the mantra of the 60's: if it feels good, do it! John Phillips was living the dream! Yet, there is a day reckoning. It is not a popular message, but it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we can be cleansed from all sin. Those in Christ Jesus are the true bloods for 'love and peace.' As Jesus said, those outside of Christ are liars and thieves. Yet, Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

I don’t think John would have been into the whole lottery ethos. He had far too much soul and class. A great talent. Our music history would’ve been poverty-stricken without him and what he brought to it and with The Momas and The Papas. God rest the souls of the departed members of that amazing quartet and may Michelle live a long and happy life as I believe she does. She’s a living legend. They were so wonderful.
