Yeah but these tutorials only work for asian eyes/monolids. These techniques don't quite apply for any other eye shape.

At 2:27 the descriptions are: inner corner higher than outer corner A. However the image does not reflect this. Furthermore, in the eye shape conclusion 3:05 almond shaped eyes score A first. However the hallmark of almond eyes are B which is having lower inner corner. I think you guys made a mistake on this.

Mine are ABAA so they fall between almond and round and slightlyhooded. I think they're closer to round shape tho. And I already usually do a cut crease with thin liner. It looks great. I will definitely try the inverted triangle look tho. I think it'll look great. I'll also try the parallelogram because I have a small round face!

I got AAAB, so almond, but round towards the outer corner so the roundness makes it point down. So they're kinda like sideways teardrops. My eyes are just barely upturned, but they're almost straight, so it's a little confusing. I think I'm going to go for the inverted triangle!

I got A A A B, but I had a hard time determining the last letter, I think the overall direction of my outer corner is just straight out. But since there is no option for that and there also isn't an option for AAAB, I think AAAA still fits with my eye shape, so it is round.

Do you have hooded eyes? I got AAAB and since I definitely don’t have lid space, I assumed that it’s the hooded eye option. But if you have the lid space and AAAB, you probably have round eyes ^^

My eye shape is apparently BAAB, im european and maori so and my eyes are slightly unsymmetrical so one of them is more rouned and one is more hooded so theyre a bit different. thank you i wonder what my eye shape would be labeled as though but they are quite rounded.

Frankly speaking, I loved all her videos and they were very effective for me but, for this one I was very happy when I saw the notification, but turned out that mine is BAAB and I lost all the hope in the middle of the video 😔 I hope u would do part 2 of this for other eye shapes IF POSSIBLE cause I suck in eye make-up

BAAB is usually downturned with a slight fierce look because of our inner corners.

Oh thank god. I thought I was the only with BAAB eyes. I watched this video in hopes of helping me figure out the best suited eyeshadow look for my eyes. But well what do ya know, we're unique case of ourselves and I truly wish there was a technique to help me (cause I suck at eye makeup) if not, even one would help.

HEY, FOR THOSE WITH HOODED/ALMOND LIKE REALLY DEEP EYES, with no much space between eyebrows and eyes, USE BLUSH. I tried it yesterday because I thought the color was cute and I was tired of the shades of shadows that I have because they make me seem tired, ugly or as if I had been punched in the face, but BLUSH MAKED ME SEEM SO PRETTY??? For the first time I felt nice. Also, but maybe that just me because my eyes are too deep at the outer ends, add lots of glitter in the inner end, in my case it made my eyes seem very awake. Also, the eyeliner is very important, it can change a bit how hooded or tired your eyes look, but apply it with your eyes open, and NEVER under the eye.

2:26 I think u switched sth up here? Isn't it supposed to be the other way around, A= inner corner is LOWER than the outer corner, because in 3:04 you say the first A is for almond and upturned eyes whereas for downturned eyes the first letter is B (inner corner should be higher/same level than/as outer corner)

Longer eye shape Normal distance between eyes BAAA I've always been told I have hooded eyes, and usually use my waterline to make a look work! It doesn't have to be fully black (the color I usually use), u can do just the corners, inner and outer. I think that makes the eye pop slightly, in a more gentle way than a fully black waterline :) I also try to make use of my inner corner more than my outer corner, was it simply using highlight to brighter my eyes or focusing my waterline on the inner corner, or both! Using the eyeliner technique from the daily technique part of the video, I think such a look is great for formal-casual event, or just if you're going out with friends! I usually use blush, just lightly, going over my nose, to give some color, and if u feel like it might help, u can also use some at the outer corner lid of the eye to brighten it up a bit along with some highlight over the blush on ur cheeks. U can use lipstick, ofc, but I usually don't, or just use lipgloss, so do whatever feels more comfortable! I hope that helped at least a little bit, sorry abt the shabby explanation!

Hmm...idk this video seems to be lacking a lot, first of all why did we have to determine whether we have long or short eyes and wide, close or normal set eyes in the first place though it wasn't relevant later on anyways? When you actually started showing us how yo apply the eye shadow (which was also very generalized) you only relied on eye shapes and not to mention only 4 of them which isn't helpful at all because for someone like me for example who has upturned + wide-set eyes a cat eye, fox eye look really doesn't fit because it only pulls my eyes even more apart and makes me look old.

I got BBBB- I have a down-turned almond eye?? That’s the best way I can describe. Along with very thick n’ deep double eyelids. I’ve never been a fan of too much makeup on my eyes, but this is definitely right with how I should try to make them stand out! My face is very small, and delicate looking, (and round/pear-shaped) so whenever putting makeup on, accentuating my eyes always make things very pretty, and come together nicely.

BBAB, wasnt able to figure out longer or shorter eye shape, and slightly close-set eyes so what I'm thinking from this is that I have slightly downturned or neutral almond shaped eyes, so I'll learn techniques from both sections and try to mix them. I also have hooded eyes

@@AprilxTears My go-to eye makeup right now is glitter highlighter in the inner corner and diffuse to the rest of the lid (Just until my iris not the entire lid), then I do a sharp black winged eyeliner and smoke out the edge. Then some mascara. This is a really basic look, but I found this the quickest to do for me and it flatters me. Did you figure out anything? I wanna try to experiment with colour but my hooded eyes make that difficult

I still have no idea what my eye shape is. My score was BAAA. All I know is it can’t be downturned since my inner corner is lower than my outer corner. I feel like I’m a mix of round and almond eyes. They’re not really wide so I just wonder if someone can have almond eyes if they’re not that long. My eyes aren’t super rounded either so yeah I’m just a mixture of the 2. I have epicanthic folds despite not being Asian so it gives me hooded eyes. So hooded roundish almond eyes

i now realize how some eyeshadows make my eyes look more wonky than it should. i have hooded eyes (but not so hooded, and only the outer 1/4 is hooded), and when i discovered the parallelogram technique, i can say that it really works and looks so good for hooded eyes, however, i still haven't experimented on darker, bolder shades of eyeshadows on my hooded eyes, i'm afraid my eyes won't be visible anymore if i do lol

I've got triple eyelids. And because of that, I had a some difficulty in determining the exact eye shape of mine. I'll try both, parallelogram and inverted triangle techniques and see which ones suits me better. My eyes have letter AABB.

The dp channel also has a glasses video which has a small section on applying eye makeup with glasses. I believe it’s called how to pick the perfect glasses for your head shape? I used it for picking my glasses and applying my own makeup and it works very well :)

I got BBAB and I really don't know what fits me. As my eyes are pretty big, I've got a mix of almond shapes eyes and round shaped eyes. I've also got a very big/wide eyelid. I tried the inverted triangle and it really does not suit me. I tried the parallelogram as well, but I am not so sure. I have long dark lashes and I feel like mascara really does not look good on me. Is that normal?

I am so confused. My eyes are BABB, moderately hooded, and small. I don’t know what to do as a beginner when using eyeliner (due to the shape of the lids around the eye, not just the hooded part above). The skin is almost completely flat under my eyes. My brows/brow bone sits lower. My lower lids also cover more than the top lids. Do I potentially have deep set, down turned, hooded eyes? 🙃

@@Aron77777 Haven't found a solution yet unfortunately. To clarify, my low lid/lash line comes up and covers more of my iris than the top lid. There is no white visible below.

I have two different eye shapes- One side is ABAA and another is BBAA The closest I can assume is Almond and Downturn 😭

Im a 52 yo Asian gal w/hooded eye due to heavy fold. This is helpful but i have to avoid eyeshadow on my undereye because of my darkness and fine line wrinkles Thank u for helping me

Am I the only one who is completely confused by her examples vs what she's saying? The one where she says the length is 2 times longer than the width isn't true in the example eye, and neither is the one where she tells us to draw a straight line to see whether the inner corner is positioned lower or higher. For that one BOTH the example eyes shown have inner corners that are lower. Makes no sense.

Does anyone else have red phoenix eye/ Dan fengyan shape or something similar ( like ruifeng eye )? I think I have this but can’t find much information about this eye shape and I’d like to know what type of makeup suits me :)

yes!! i have upturned monolid “phoenix” eyes :) i’m no expert but here are some tips from my experience: 1) only draw eyeliner on the outer half of ur eye like the video says, & 2) make sure the eyeliner goes straight outwards from ur eye & not upward like literally every makeup video out there. ppl do winged eyeliner like that bc they want to achieve that upturned look but we alr have it naturally so there’s no need to make ur eyes look even more slanted
