I just wanted to point out what actually happened at the end there, since my friends all seemed confused about it. So what happened is that Galactus pulled out the Ultimate Nullifier to use it, and because Unicron is a Transformer, he scanned its technology and transformed into it, then fired. Galactus avoided it by going into pocket dimension, and when he came back out, he just absorbed Unicron, because when Unicron turned himself into the Ultimate Nullifier, he tied himself to Galactus and his will just like the regular Nullifier. So he kind of beat himself.

The main villain in Transformers is Megatron and then he later known as Galvatron

I am team Galactus too, but Unicron is very strong, almost godlike in the Transformers universe. Loved the reaction. Also loved the costumes, you both look fantastic. Happy New Year, 2024!!!

Most legit don't know anything about them beyond just "planet sized robot" and "big dude that eats worlds" , especially since they rarely get to show off how OP they are in their own universes outside of the comics.

This is possibly the most insane Death Battle we've had up to this point in sheer scale Like these guys are basically throwing multiverses at eachother Also it's funny how in this same season Galactus and his herald (Silver Surfer) won their DB's and Unicron with his herald (Megatron technically became one when he was reborn as Galvatron) both lost theirs

These costumes are so perfect you guys look amazing especially with the bow tie nice stuff and Bethany the red hair looks gorgeous ❤️💛. This battle nudges up the insanity factor of these battles beyond Cosmic levels

I love how flowery and over-the-top their dialogue is. It could easily sound corny and silly, but the voice acting, tone, and scale make it work. Also, next year we're gonna be getting a battle of Wile E. Coyote Vs. Tom from Tom & Jerry, thanks to a tournament voted on by Death Battle's channel members.

One thing readers don't get about galactus when he threatens a populated world is that he at one point avoided worlds populated by sentient people and ate those that had the potential for life. Over the ages those worlds became harder to find so he just had to do what he do. He can be threatened and/or reasoned with but sooner or later he'll eat everything there is to eat and at the end he'll become the nucleus of a new big bang.

I'm a way bigger Transformers fan than a Marvel fan, but I knew how this was going to play out. As fantastical as Transformers can be, it looks grounded compared to the feats that Marvel pulls off on a regular basis.

Yay, Roger and Jessica Rabbit were some of my favorite characters growing up! So was Unicron. I grew up with Transformers as a kid and wore out 2 VHS tapes of the original animated movie. The thing they referenced about modern cinema was that Orson Welles voiced Unicron in the original animated movie from 1986, and it was his final role. I believe he's called the father of modern cinema because of The War of the Worlds, among other popular films of the time. The drunken reference is to when Welles did a commercial. This match was announced during Season 2 and then it was never brought up again. Which is of note since the other battle they announced at that same panel was Smokey Bear vs. Scruff McGruff, and that one DID happen a few seasons ago.

Bethany looks amazing as Jessica Rabbit. Really nailed the dress and the hairstyle. That's all I can say. Have a wonderful new year guys, and cheers to a brand new journey.

To echo some other comments it's nice to see more people learning of these two however some advice should either of you decide to give The Transformers a shot at reacting then please don't start with the '86 movie off the bat. There's such a whiplash in that movie that had actual consequences for a series in a time for cartoons that very little carry over from one episode to the next. The movie also begins some of the lore that would be included and later expanded in later series. The original G1 series is available on youtube for free on the Hasbro Pulse page and Seasons 1 and 2 are before the 1986 movie. As for why the movie's considered such a whiplash? Well, let's just say the suits behind the movie, not the writers, really only saw the characters as moving product and not actual characters that us kids at the time saw them as. Take that as you will.

I love the old cosmic pattern of speech they have and that they're never really emotional throughout. Big w for Galactus, destroyer of worlds. I can only hope Unicron enjoys no longer existing. Oh, and I wish they showed it at least said out loud that part about Galactus one shotting Darkseid. Galactus and Unicron speaking in iambic pentameter was meant to pay homage to the kind of prose Stan Lee wrote in the early comics that Galactus made his debut in, similar to Silver Surfer's speech in his own episode being made to homage different aspects of said kinds of prose. The canonicity of the Darkseid feat is strange, as there are canon crossovers and apparently it was mentioned in a comic afterwards, but I haven't read it yet so i don't know. Either way, it wasn't the true form of Darkseid. However I still wish they'd have at least verbally mentioned it if they were going to have it listed anyway. Galactus: As all things must, your world has come to an end. Galactus: Halt! This planet is mine to consume, so sayeth Galactus, Destroyer of Worlds. I just don't see how Unicron stands a chance. Sure, he's a very powerful planet-sized robot, but Galactus is a fundamental force of the universe, or something close to.

The whole unicron not having experience on fighting universal beings is pretty much the opposite. The whole reason of them being tricked into being trapped in an asteroid is cause primus and unicron fought each other for an eternity constantly wiping out and recreating the multiverse again and again till primus just got tired of it and opted for deception instead. But ya muguffin gonna muguffin even if by possessing it unicron would have technically infected it with dark energon and made it his own power instead of a part of galactus

Galactus only loses in comics because Writers need him to lose, lol. The guy in one comic was "corrupted" by the First Firmament (the original reality of Marvel), turning him into a mindless multiverse devourer that the First Firmament was going to use to consume the Multiverse / dissolve "multi" Eternity so it could absorb it into itself. Unicron is similar, in that he's in every transformer reality, but like, he's more Abraxas, or any number of Marvel's litany of "Oblivion" type character that Galactus was literally created to beat. (History of the Marvel Universe shows Galactus at the end of existence more or less becoming the next multiverse. The guy went to hell to fight the devil (Mephisto), where he is effectively omnipotent, and began to devour Hell itself, which prompted the devil to just immediately give up, lol. I'm surprised deathbattle didn't go into that or the fight with Agamotto (again, in Agamatto's realm) that also nearly broke the multiverse. Primus effectively traps Unicron in a rock in their comic origin and uses his soul as a tool to repeatedly kill Unicron in different realities.
