They really screwed the pooch with Aizen's analysis. They didn't even mention how his illusions managed to fool Yhwach, who was capable of viewing infinite possibilities all at once, and how he's literally IMMORTAL after fusing with this Hogyoki, hence his millennia-long imprisonment, since it was impossible to kill him. Aizen got robbed, and if they ever do more Bleach characters in Death Battle (assuming it comes back), they really need to step up their game when it comes to properly representing Bleach characters.

I don't think DB ever caught more flak over any episode than this one. Although to the credit of the staff it all falls down to whoever's job it was to do the scaling for Bleach, so it was likely 1-2 people that just got sloppy/lazy. As someone who's seen both of these series to completion in the anime and manga though, and LOVES both of these characters, it isn't even a contest. Aizen washes Madara. It's just something that comes with the territory of doing anime cross over fights though, especially Shonen series. Some universes are just built so fundamentally different that certain ones can't hold a candle to the other. For example the feat a lot of people use for Madara is him summoning the meteors, but that's something a character in the lower end of the top tier of Bleach can do, and much MUCH more massively at that. So many characters in Bleach are just stupidly broken, and calling it "Anime Bullshit" is the most accurate term ever coined.

Worth mentioning AIzen ability is NOT MIND CONTROL 2 characters in Bleach has mind control resistance yet both feel victim to Aizen's ability more than once...DB literatelly showed that Aizen ability manipulates senses not the mind

DB: "Aizen doesn't have attacks that can directly affect a soul" Me: He's a freaking Shinigami, all his attacks primarily affect the soul. Also DB: "The soul society is probably just the size of a planet, at most." Bleach Novels (Which were already written, well in advance to when the team was researching and writing for this deal battle): "Is a fully formed universe that examples out infinitely." Like, DB usually loves to read all canon and supplimentary material, even if it's not used, so the fact that so much (readily available) information wasn't even factored in shocked me.

So they going to ignore the fact he killed the cleaner a creature made up of reason that governs space and time by staring it 💀 and that soul reapers can only be hurt by hax and attacks in the same league of power as them 💀 the orbs cannot harm him because their chakra has to be in the same leauge as his passive reiatsu. Its been proven time and time again in bleach no matter how op the hax are, if theirs a power difference in another league then the hax gets passively negated no matter what it does. And it’s hypnosis not illusion. Kubo said if your under his hypnosis and you look at a pic or video of nothing then he can make you see and hear something in the video that isnt there. Aizens power is in the same league as soul king who has no body parts but a torso and head minus his organs in what’s basically a space time coma and he still holds the whole verse together. Also you cant break out of itachi’s tyskuyomi and you cant break out of aizens either. It’s not something you can break out of even if you know your under and it an illusion from the hypnosis you still can’t break it , just ignore it while still seeing and hearing the same thing it’s also stated in the novels the hypnosis can affect your senses like the ability to sense people around you with your reiatsu. Also Aizen didn’t fall for the illusion that was a lieutenant named momo who they sliced, jumped and stabbed only to see Aizen on the ground finishing off their teammates perfectly fine.

Aizen has the hogyoku a reality warping gem that exists outside of space and time that grants the users wishes. The whole point of the story was Aizen was building up the protagonist to be his ultimate challenge. Once he realized that the protagonist can actually beat him he conceded defeat because if he actually defeated Ichigo he would be bored... he's not going to lose to some Ninja. Bleach is on a different level than Naruto and it's a shame that people today don't realize that.

I really don't like it when DB uses one-off transformations in fights like this. I know absolutely nothing about Aizen, but Madara can't just go into Ten Tails' Jinchuuriki form whenever he wants. That was a one time thing.

Yeah, death battle has a REALLY hard time scaling Bleach. Madara, at peak power, was a planet buster. Aizen at peak strength was a universal entity, as in he had the power to destroy a universe. Even if you try to hilariously lowball him he was still stated to have the power to destroy the human world and the soul reaper world so that's galactic plus. Add to that there is nothing to indicate that Madara would be able to resist Aizen's illusions and its a one sided stomp without him even needed to transform.

Like… man, anime power scaling is ridiculous, and we all know it. But it isn't as bad when you're watching one series at a time. But when you compare them, that's when you see how ridiculous it truly is. I guess what elevates some anime above others is how plausibly they can explain it within the world. For me, personally, Naruto got more and more absurd toward the end. Bleach, on the other hand, was plausible but felt increasingly discontinuous with some of the new plotlines. I'm biased toward Bleach, I think largely because it feels more serious than Naruto. As to who is stronger, yeah, it's a crapshoot. You guys got that right.

It took basically a super nuke to beat Aizen, meanwhile Madara lost, and almost died to a guy that can kick really really good, that is all that needs to be said. Joking aside, this is probably THE fight they got the most flak for and lost the most viewership due to the not even debatably lack of research or willfulness to outright ignore feats. Aizen literally came back from Existence erasure and tricked a guy that can see every single timeline at once. Genjutsu in Naruto is completely different than what Aizen can do.

They really need to remake this one, they lowballed the hell out of Aizen and completely highballed Madara. When Ichigo used the Mugetsu on Aizen it vaporized him into nothingness, but the hogyoku just made his body spawn back out of no where. They really didn’t use their brains for this one.

They literally high balled madara and low balled aizen. The rinnegan allowed him to break Kyoka Suigetsu? Bull. It was literally stated in the manga that once you see his zanpaktou you are caught and there is no way to break it. Even if you know that you are caught it is impossible to escape. It was able to fool an omniscient being ffs. Should have been a 1 sided stomp tbh.

I'm kind of surprised, because they left out several other things that allow Madara to win this battle. 1. Madara didn't use the Infinite Tsukuyomi in this battle, which likely would've been an instant game over since Aizen can't resist illusions. 2. The Hogyoku does not grant any desire the user wants. It can only grant it if the user is deemed to have the strength to carry it out. So by Aizen repeatedly suffering such major damage, even if he could regenerate, the Hogyoku's power can't ultimately be trusted to continuously support him. Just like in the battle with Ichigo, even though Aizen survived the final attack by the end he lost control of the Hogyoku since it no longer recognized him as its master and he was stripped of all its power.

As a big fan of both, Bleach's world is just different from Naruto's. The realms aren't what they seem, Soul Society which looks like a planet is MUCH bigger than that, it's not really a planet. Not to mention there's some some OP anime shit at the end of bleach. The way Bleach works is that if your "spirit energy" is significantly weaker than your opponent anything you do just doesn't work, Aizen is keeping up with the OP final boss which puts his spirit energy around final boss level as well. I think Aizen just destroys everything in Naruto, but I'm more of a Naruto fan myself so I'm happy for Madara's W lol

while death battles are almost always entertaining i think this one really shows how flawed their way of calculating powers is. Aizen is on a completely different level from Madara, he was fighting a guy who literally has a power called the Almighty and is named after the christian god, who is essentially an omniscient immortal god who can see every possible future and even that guy was like "I'd rather not fight you because killing you would take an insanely long time" and that was aizen having most of his power sealed and restrained . by the end of bleach, Aizen is as powerful as the soul king a being that holds together at least 3 different universes, ain't no way Madara is anywhere near that powerful 😆

This was so biast. Aizen is immortal and has infinite regeneration. Even if let's say that madara could deal with his speed his zanpakuto or he would be even able to see Aizen, Madara would luse eventually becouse Aizen is imortal and Madara is not. Problem with death battle is, that their outcomes is determined by rather by popularity. That is why Goku looses to Superman (twice), while Vegeta wins over Zod. That is why Bleach characters tend loosing to Naruto characters, although they are lore wise stronger.

This is actually inaccurate even death battle admited they were wrong the winner is clearly aizen madra as much as I love him won't be able to live in Aizen's presence.
