Another year. another season of DEATH BATTLE has come and gone. though sadly it seems it may be its last for now. as sad as that may be. we can happily look back at all the great stuff they brought us over the past few years. and what maybe the best season and episodes they have ever made. season 10 was the magnum opus of all DEATH BATTLE seasons. bringing a whole slew of great and heavily requested ideas over the years into one season. making for a close and unique ranking in my opinions. so lets see how they fair against each other.

What was your favorite episode of season 10? and what are your thoughts on season 10 as a whole?

My favorite episodes were Goku vs Superman 3 and Galactus vs Unicron. Obvious choices, I know, but... Can you blame me?! I also have a bit of a guilty pleasure towards Cole vs. Alex, since it gave me some interest in their respective franchises (and knowing that Infamous joined Sucker Punch's first franchise Sly Cooper in being dead as Alex and how much more potential Prototype could've had as a franchise...😔). Overall, I think this season was great, it reminded me of why I love this show so much, it all just feels so fan-driven! You can just tell from a lot of these episodes that they were thinking about the fans (as well as money but still). Let's hope Death Battle continues, it was one of the only good thing Rooster Teeth had left!!

Goku vs Superman is my new favorite modern episode of Death Battle and has my favorite climax/ending in the entire show. Despite my disagreements, this might be my favorite non trailer video you done up to this point. Let’s all hope Death Battle survives so they can give us more amazing seasons like this one in the future.

@@cantthinkofausername5848 Well, considering that Grandbull never once mentioned disliking the episode because Guts loses, and neither of the two comments even specified this being the episode of discussion, I believe that I am forgiven in the first comment when the first person stated that Grandbull was only coping because his preferred character lost with no proof whatsoever. I do agree that Grabdbull's critisisms of the episode were weak, but that is irrelevant to my point in my previous comment because that is not what the first commenter criticized him for.

@@cantthinkofausername5848 Considering all the comment said was that Grandbull was coping over his favourite character losing without backing that up with arguments and that such things are often said when widely popular episodes get criticized, I believe that I had enough of a reason to make a logical enough assumption. Whether that assumption is correct or not remains to be seen.

Allow me to clear some things up for you and Mr. Cantthink. Guts losing had zero effect on the ranking because i knew going in on how much of a stomp the matchup was. Then again Guts’s other matchups, asides from clare, are all stomps. And going in, and even a whole ass 3 YEAR before it was even announced, i made it abundantly clear I absolutely disliked the idea. From both a fight and especially a connections standpoint. Because it heavily relies on the trauma angle for both which. I dont think needs explaining why thats borderline moronic to try and do. The matchup was literally just an excuse for 1. To get fire emblem on DEATH BATTLE, and 2. To bring Guts back. Which was literally the whole point in doing it as an episode lol. And its pretty obvious based on the fight and analysis for both that its massively favors Guts. Since he literally has the only good portions of the episode. Not even jean vs raven had that type of tone. But thats besides the point. It was basically done to kill two birds with one stone. Anyways, not directed at you vaggo, but the only ones coping are people like Mr.Cantthink, who lives up to his name and cant actually think of criticism outside of “erm your takes were laughable” and get butthurt to such a degree he needs to comment on every post who doesnt agree with. classic fanboy behavior. High and mighty until hypocrisy hits him like a bus

This is why I love season 10 rankings theyre all so unique and different! Someones favorite can be someones bottom even if the episodes not bad! I love hearing so many different opinions! And while I feel your take on gutsmitri was harsh. But hey! Opinions are opinions and I respect yours good sir! Such interesting rankings! I love it! This is why I love discussing db s10 rhe reasons Why I love an episode can be why One person ranks it lower. Nice to see martiansurfer get some love and hear your opinions likes and dislikes on these episodes! Also amazing editing

The end note you had about hope nearly brought me to tears. The placements surprised me but in a good way and honestly my respect grew for some of these episodes with the points you gave here. Although there is a ton of coping in the comments (but hey good death battle episodes have people coping I don't see why a good db review can't). I may not agree with some of the placements but this video certainly gave me reason to respect the choices. Overall I'd say this video was very good, editing, discussion and just getting a smile out of it.

I wouldnt say theres hard coping. Lots of peeps had some good criticisms. But i think the main take away of this should be how good season 10 is. When the worst i can say for the bottom 3 are theyre mediocre. That says alot about the quality imo

Dude that ending note about goku v superman 3 giving you optimism was wholesome… goku v superman 3 is also my favorite of the season. I watched it with a friend of mine after work and we just loved every second. We hyped and cheered when goku went ULTRA KAIOKEN . And that wholesome af ending. Again I respect and admire your different opinions good sir! Very good video amazing editing and discussion .

I believe I've said thos before, but I will again. Grandbull, despite me disagreeing with a lot of your opinions, I respect the hell out of you for how out there you can get. You don't stick qith the general concensus and give vastly different takes than many other creators. And suffice to say a kot of your matchup ideas are fucking bangers (thanks for making me love a lot of matchups). Sad people put MM VS SS pretty low on their lists. It is honestly a great episode (& it was one of my favorite Marvel VS DC matchups).

“Most of the research was pulled from the G1 Blog” (in reference to PhoenixRaven) What an incredibly stupid lie to spread. The g1 blog was out TWO DAYS before the episode came out. Unless you actually think the episode was written, edited, animated, and completed within a DAY, which is incredibly stupid.

Clearly you didnt hear the part when i said it was pulled from the blog they did for jean vs raven from over a year ago. Which they did before this episode was even announced. And it just so happens that blog had the exact same reasons for raven winning. Quite a coincidence

Thats because they deleted it when the episode was announced and then replaced with the current one. But basically it was made by a couple people within the community, including a researcher who is on the team. And this blog was made a full year before the episode came out.

@@TheGrandbull The blog of two people, that's unrelated to the G1 blog, with the researcher of Phoenix in the blog and official episode reusing and adding onto their own Phoenix notes. With all due respect, opinions are opinions I think you have one of the worst takes I’ve ever heard from Guts vs Dimitri, like every single thing you said I disagree with Dimitri’s analysis was one of my favorites this season The choreography made this one of the best 3D fights this season far surpassing Frieze vs Megatron and Colex in my opinion God Hand fucking slaps, because say it with me “a death battle track’s music doesn’t need to fit the combatants to be good and or fitting” The track art was not ripped from the manga, this was a rumor that was almost instantly debunked after the smallest bit of research The white snow field is meant to compliment the red blood that stains the terrain and also looks visually pleasing The fight also has tons of references to both series so “they didn’t care” my fucking ass, Dimitri’s blade strikes Guts the perfect amount of times before breaking, Dimitri gets stabbed in the shoulder referencing his final encounter with Edelgard. The two start the fight posing the same way Guts and Griffith are posed in one of their scuffles There is so much stuff you missed, next time you do one of these I feel like you should do a bit more research, most other death battle rankings so the bare minimum of checking the wiki for details they might have missed or didn’t understand. TL;DR not a fan of your take, but it’s your list, have a good day

Megatron only gets complex multi via Unicron(whom he doesn’t scale to) Obito actually matches Vader in strength(both get Galaxy) but Obito outhaxes him Ant-Man outhaxes Atom Galactus could literally conceptually destroy Unicron
