This is the result of demasculation. Feminizing men has created a high suicide rate. The best thing a man can be is a toxic male. That's what we were born to be. When you change that, that's when you'll have these type of situations. And when there isn't a father in the home to help in these situations, that is the biggest problem in society today.

What a joke our justice system is. First there is a trial, she is found guilty. Then she is allowed to be free out on bail to wait for a second trial. Found guilty again. Given an extremely light sentence and then gets out months early because of good behavior. None of that is right or fair especially to the family of the dead son.

Agreed. I thought the same when I first watched this episode when it aired a few years back. Believe it or not - she had many supporters back then and it seemed like I was in the minority on message boards and comments sections when i would call her out. Glad the opinions of the masses have since changed and see it for what it was. I don’t care if she was young and pretty or what! Instead, I care more about what she encouraged, supported, and even urged on almost in a bullying manner… totally sick and twisted!! Who does that…!?!? I would’ve never done such a thing at 17. Or ever. At anytime, to anyone. It’s not just that she didn’t make his suicidal expressions known to someone but that she pushed him on until he did it. This is why I can see where words became weapon in a criminal proceeding. Which is what the judge more less decided in that ruling. It was a first of its kind. And I’d be incredibly cautious where this can be used and the frequency where it applies. But the added details and background facts inside this case paint just that. Both young and gullible. She meant everything to him and he overvalued who she was as a person and what she had to say, unfortunately. To bad she didn’t care for him at least half as much as he did her. He’d probably be in University right now about to wrap up his degree if so. She as well. It’s unfortunate all-around and a messed up story. It sucks she ruined her life, but it truly sucks for his parents who lost him forever. I can only hope her stint in prison will do her some good but we know it won’t and she’ll likely come out hardened even more and without many options. But…. again - she gets a life to resume to an, so…… it’s kinda difficult to feel any sympathy for her.

I am so, so sorry that happened to you. What a horrible thing to be faced with. I hope you know that you deserve better people around you. ❤ When I was 14, 15, 16 I spent an inordinate amount of time playing therapist to friends with serious amounts of trauma and mental health problems because I was a sucker for *anyone* in pain. In hindsight I was definitely....taken advantage of a few times by people a good bit older than me--there were instances where it was used to keep me around in very manipulative ways. My heart just wouldn't let me see it when I was worried about someone--with the bonus benefit that my problems could be shoved away too! I said all of that because: as unhealthy as it was in my case, I spent a significant percentage of my formative years putting a lot of energy into keeping people from self-harming. I did the training to be an outcry counselor and worked on a su!c!d€ hotline. I ultimately even got my official interventionist certificate. Here's the thing--I did this with a group of a dozen other high school students in a really small town. My graduating class was about 75 kids. I guess I'm just baffled that there can be such a lack of empathy, so little regard for the majesty of life when I have seen teens be capable of such incredible selflessness and service.

Based on decades of experience working within mental health, it's important to remember that when a person is serious about ending their life, they just do it. They neither hesitate, think about it and they certainly don't talk about it with others. When someone talks about it, it's always a cry for help! They want to end their pain (be it emotional, physical, mental etc), not their life!

I’ve dated this type of girl multiple times. I’m fact I actually married one of them! During an argument, I said “I can’t handle this, you know my issues and when you do this it makes me want to die” to which she pointed at a knife and said “if you’re going to do it? Do it now. I’m tired of hearing about it.” I grabbed the knife, went out an repaid my outstanding debts, returned keys to people, and then I thankfully got a phone call that saved my life. Unfortunately I stayed with her for years, but fortunately all that abuse made me realize I deserve respect and love too. One of the biggest factors indicating her guilt is her own words. She was concerned about the texts being seen, she wanted them deleted, and she stated that if they were seen she could go to jail. Those words, aside from all of her other vicious words, tell a story of guilt. She clearly knew what she did was wrong. Her young age and her own mental issues are not factors, since she had a full awareness of the wrongdoing, before she was ever arrested or convicted. To serve a matter of months in jail is not enough. This young woman may very likely go on in life to create more harm for other people. She basically got away with psychopathic and controlling behavior. Chances are good she will continue that. It is apparent that people like her enjoy it, and will keep doing it. You are way off on this one. The kid was miserably depressed, had thought about suicide for years, and allegedly attempted it repeatedly. She talked him out of it for a long time, before changing her mind and agreeing that it was his best option. Good idea? No, horrible idea. But she was easily as troubled as he was, and therefore reached terrible conclusions. Did she have bad intent? There is no evidence that she did, any more than he did. Suicide is always wrong, but you can't blame her for thinking it was a good decision for him unless you also blame him, as well as everyone else who goes that route.

I understand that that the mother had to deal with her own issues during the divorce. As parents we have to make sure our sons have little time to spend on social media - let them play several sports and/or volunteer or work part-time to get rid of their energy and anxiety. Depression feeds on depression, therefore encouraging moping and over-thinking is unhealthy. Most kids have bouts of depression, but they also need to be taught the skills to deal with it as they grow into adulthood.

The fact that she told him to "get back into the truck" tells me he wouldn't have gone through with it. But in fact she pressured him into it. She also didn't call his family or 911. She knew where he was and left him set there for 24 hours. This is horrendous.

I have now watched this episode. My heart goes out to this family. What I saw in this girl was evil eyes. She knew exactly what she was doing. If she was a good person that really loved him she would have screamed "get out of the car". I just feel terrible that this young man was put on this earth for a reason and we will never know that reason.

When my hubby was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2019, he thought it's the end of the world and told me he wants to jump in the hospital corridor where he was confined. I didn't sleep at all and monitored him every minute! I asked all his relatives and friends to tell him we are here to support him all the way. He was healed now and working! ❤ When someone is not in their best mental and emotional state, you don't get tired of them. You help them find the best solution and if you can't, ask someone else.

I dont know if it's addressed further on in this documentary but I read that her motive was because she was obsessed with a main character from Glee where the actress was dating her love interest on the show in real life and when he died of an overdose in real life, this freak saw an opportunity to live out her own version of it. If that's true then she is surely sociopathic or clinically narcissistic

God my heart breaks for Conrad and his mom! I remember how terrible, anxious and awful it felt to be a teenager. You truly feel like you will feel that way forever! Never good enough, disappointment, awkward, unliked. Just so many unpleasant emotions. Everyone tells you it’ll get better but you don’t believe it at the time. Until one day you’re 20-21 and you realize they were right! It’s got to be the hormones that cause this, because once you reach adulthood you truly do feel… just better. Still a little lost until 28-30 that’s when true peace settles in. Confidence, calmness, a sense of everything will always be okay. I believe this is because you’ve experienced enough by this age to realize everything does always seem to be okay or work itself out. I wish so badly Conrad was able to survive this. At 30 he would’ve looked back and realized Michelle was a terrible human being and that everyone who told him he WILL be okay some day, he’d realize was telling the truth. My heart just aches for him because I can relate to his feelings so much!

You can say I hope or wish someone would die legally. You could say I pray for it everyday. Now I know in this particular case it was consistent suggested and planned. Is it illegal though to say I wish you would commit suicide? I’m just curious on the legality of it and what other people think. Not trying to ruffle anyone’s feathers.

@@jacobmalloy4258 it can be considered bullying which in some states that leads to 2nd degree manslaughter conviction which means involuntarily causing death to a person. So yes technically it can become illegal to say things like that to people if they act upon it.

As someone who’s diagnosed chronic depression, those videos Conrad took of himself show that he had the strength to overcome this if he was consistent on taking his antidepressants or doing what needed to be done to feel better as a person. I hope we haven’t forgotten how susceptible people- especially teenagers in distress are . People like her, are the worse kind of people. She instructed this man to his death, not just “texting him” as the defense tries to belittle. The fact that she got 15 months is a slap in the face. And watch how her face brightens up and her eyebrow raises when they give her her sentence, as if to say “well, that’s not bad”. Minorities in this country get more time for less than what she inflicted on this young man. Taunting him for months. I hope she gets what she deserves.

With any luck the other inmates will see her story and they will all start to taunt and mentally and emotionally torture her, cause her to catch a new case or two while she's locked down so she has to do with more time, and continue with the torture. If they drive her to hurt herself, believe this or not it is a class c felony of destruction of state property. It can hold up to 5 years.
