Growing up my dad always loved this song and would play this music video for my sister and I all the time. Sadly, I lost my dad to suicide a few weeks ago and my heart feels connected to him whenever I hear this song. He was only 44, myself only 20. Rest easy, Dad. This one is from me to you. I remember showing this to my first Love. After watching and listening he said, "thank you for Loving me". He and I were each other's first Loves. We are no longer together, and it still kills me. I have to say that though this is a great song, I disagree- Love is never gone. No matter what happens in my life, no matter who I date or someday marry, he will always have a piece of my heart. I can get over it all, but our Love was there, it was strong, and it'll never disappear.

The glove compartment is inaccurately named And everybody knows it So I'm proposing a swift orderly change 'Cause behind its door, there's nothing to keep my fingers warm And all I find are souvenirs from better times Before the gleam of your taillights fading east To find yourself a better life I was searching for some legal document As the rain beat down on the hood When I stumbled upon pictures I tried to forget And that's how this idea was drilled into my head 'Cause it's too important to stay the way it's been There's no blame for how our love did slowly fade And now that it's gone, it's like it wasn't there at all And here I rest where disappointment and regret collide Lying awake at night There's no blame for how our love did slowly fade And now that it's gone, it's like it wasn't there at all And here I rest where disappointment and regret collide Lying awake at night, up all night When I'm lying awake at night

The oc although before my time as I am only 18, I am a music obsessive also love the show always related to Seth as a character as I love comic books movies and indie music and pretty much all things nobody dose now I watched the show for the first time when I was 16, even though the Show is 20 this year I can still relate to that character and feeling that way. Thank you, Josh Schwartz for introducing me Sublime sometime beautiful and brutal world of Indie music. That show still has the greatest soundtrack ever you can are you, but in my mind, it’s right. I’ll always love this band the TV show in every single soundtrack thank you Josh , and thank you Adam Brody for portraying such a realistic character, and for being the first cool nerd on TV, death cab rocks

I had my first boyfriend for a short time after high school and he said I reminded him of the singer in terms of looks. Ended up experiencing a lot of "firsts" with him, and I still remember how nice it was to get to kiss him and run my fingers through his curly hair. Things between us deteriorated quickly in the months to come due to lack of maturity and lack of communication and we didn't keep in touch after separating. He's married to someone else now and has a shaved head, and even though it was nearly 20 years ago, I hear this song and I'm back in my car holding his hand and everything that happened, hasn't happened yet. I don't think there was any way things would have gone differently, but I am sorry for whatever pain I may have caused.
