I must find out who WLDV is, or my head is going to burst. I bought this song mere minutes after it was released, but now I have no idea from where.... ??? That's alright, I'll sit here and tell absolutely nobody, why I love this song. In 1985, yes a long time ago, there was this 15 year old Goth-Kyd who heard this song and fell in love with, Death in June. The flood-gates were open and it was time for this Goth-Kyd to go into overdrive and dive completely into the subculture. My best friend, since I was in 6th grade, got his license shortly turning 16 that Summer, so we thought we'd celebrate by driving 600 miles to Los Angeles and stock Rozz Williams of Christian Death, but we ended up lost. Throughout the drive this was one of those songs, we had on endless repeat. We both eventually did find out way to the "Troubadour", but we were way to young to talk our way inside the venue, but we waited outside the backdoor for Rozz. He showed up but was very late; but, he still signed our albums and said "Why aren't you both inside? You both make a cute couple ..." Considering we looked bout 10 years old, we both understood what he meant by the comment, so we just pretended. We smiled in return and I said "We're not old enough." Rom turned and said with the confidence of a teacup poodle barking and a fully grown pit-bull "My boyfriend wanted me to drive, all the way here from San Francisco" The reply from Rozz was quick and succinct "Well, something like age, never stopped me....!!!" That was a hint, hint moment for us, but the bouncers already know our faces. It was still a no go. The door opened slightly and Rozz waved us both to come inside. He gave us both backstage passes and told everyone we were his nephews. So for a few hours we were his nephews and later, we had no idea where to stay, when the afterparty was finished. Once again, Rozz was all to kind and said sleep on the couch, so we did, all rolled-up together. To this day, I have no idea if he had any siblings or not, to have nephews; nevertheless, I still associate that moment with this song. You'd think, it would be something by Christian Death, but no it this song. Later, my parents and his were absolutely furious, but I still got my vinyl signed along with this story. Anyhow, who cares about pride, or freedom, or getting grounded for almost a year. Well, whatever... !!! Now, I have two son's in the Goth, EBM, Industrial, Dark Synth-wave subculture, so it's probably going to be up to the Universe to "Bring balance back to the Force". I suppose it should, just as long as they keep their hands off my collection.... !!! Although this particular sound edit is obviously not the same, it refreshed something that was lost and all forgotten about by this newer crop of Kyd's-in-black. I'm glad there are music artists, who haven't forgotten where they come from to take some of these little gems, re-polish them and send them on their way. With my best, The Spin'glass Hydra

none would beat the original in my opinion, but nevertheless it's a great work indeed - where MKII hits harder than guitar driven/neofolk version, then this edit hits harder than MKII, so now I have the ever-progressing three-headed beast to listen to on repeat.
