He certainly wasn't set to be around long after the judge cut him loose. This is a pretty awesome news clip.

Love looking back at these events I saw on tv news as a teen and put them in context of Presidential political history. 70s became the era of mob hits, like 60s became era of political assassinations, 80s the era of the Drug War, and 90s the era of Property Forfeitures.

Even though Lanksy's stepson was not mobbed up, the Italian mafia would not touch him without first getting permission from Lansky. Yes, Lansky was still a very powerful boss till the very end. The Jewish Mob may have been all but dead but Lanksy transcended cultural barriers. Most active Italian mob bosses, underbosses, and many soldiers when Meyer was alive were still his allies. Because it went back to the National Crime Syndicate whereby Meyer, Siegel, Buchalter, Schultz, and others were of equal rank as Italian bosses.

I'm born and raised in Jersey City, N.J. Greenville. When the mob left, the neighborhood really went to total shit. People don't realize how much money jobs and opportunities were lost in the ghetto without mob influence

I heard the stories of older folks talking about the old time mob in Marseille and they told me that in sixties,fifties and before they could leave there doors and windows open in old part of the town near the old port. They never touch the locals and was a territorial protection.

Why do you hate the constitution? Why do you hate America?
@davehoward8998
@davehoward8998 Жыл бұрын
@randomdude5938 I don't hate America, some things are sacred. Let those people Bury that man in peace and then crowd them for your story. That's gonna make a whole bunch of innuendo and problems. Especially, today's time period people are judged before their case ever gets to court due to b******* media. Because all they care about is stories for advertising dollars and I'm a veteran. I serve my country and I will gladly shoot another person for my country and if I miss. They might shoot me. I might not like what you say. But I defend to the end. You're right to say it. Come clapping at me. The media died with Walter Cronkite real journalism , people that follow the story to the end. Not just making click bait for b*******t

@@davehoward8998 your inability to understand the concept of “free” when it pertains to people you disagree with is telling. You want freedom for you but not for “them”. So not freedom.
