Tuesday has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and the critics raved about Julia's performance. That said, I simply cant put myself through these movies any more - life has enough challenges without struggling through someone else's pain. I salute A24 for making these movies in the age of Marvel domination at the box office = clearly others are willing to take the journey and more power to them.

I don't think I'll be able to watch this new film "Tuesday". Our daughter had life-threatening health problems as an infant, and had to have massive surgery. Prayers and support kept us upright during the ordeal, but all it takes is a couple of thoughts of that time, and I'm almost certainly in tears. I wish JLD all the best with this film, and I think she is marvelously talented and funny, but this may be more than I can take.

This culture has a lack of security to death. I worked for a non-profit Hospice organization and this really "scrambled my awareness" towards death up close & I come from a culture that taught our Spirit does not die! I'm so happy to see this subject be shown to comfort & deal to find peace within the experience. Blessing to all

Hospice is amazing. I spent the last few weeks of my brother's life with him (as opposed to him being alone in hospital at the height of Covid) and Hospice was absolutely vital, administering palliative drugs and bathing and the morning I woke up and he was gone I called the number and they took care of everything! He died at peace in his own apartment with his sister nearby. It was a life-changing experience for me.

Back in the 90s I witnessed a great example of some one who was a gifted comedian also showing a gift for the dark side. I went to an art show in the college town I was living in. They had asked a mutual friend to perform during the show. He began with a one man version of one of the darkest scenes from "A Clockwork Orange". He sat in the middle of the room while everyone lined the walls to watch. It was so intense that the people who walked in during the performance turned around to leave because they thought he was just some crazy guy losing it. Knowing that he couldn't leave folks with just that image, he followed it with a telling of the story of "The King Midas Touch" in the character of Yoda. He had people laughing uncontrollably. Robin Williams is a great example of being able to master the extremes. Julia doing something like Tuesday is something that I can't wait to see.

Everybody dies. How and when is the only unknown. I have not seen this movie yet, but I plan to. I have had much death in my life...siblings gone far too soon...my mother has passed from Cancer...I am a young widow whose husband succumbed to Cancer...But I will watch this because I adore cinema and the catharsis it can ignite...... I think Western society needs to confront the inevitability of death so that we may live more fully. We tend to distract ourselves from this unavoidable event during our short time on this planet and, thereby, iften miss the point. Life can mean so much more if we stop ignoring/denying that it is a terminal condition...#LIVE #LOVE #MATTER #BE
